T'was indeed Abbott, and the answer to the bonus question is "the god-awful Angels bullpen blew half-a-dozen wins for him." Despite that, he still had 18 wins and a 2.89 ERA and finished third in Cy Young voting... not bad for a guy with one hand.

Yeah, I knew there was a reason I got that question, Abbott pitched for Michigan in college. So, we'll keep it on Michigan for a question. This might be a tough one...
Name for me Michigan's 3 Heisman Trophy winners.

Gold Knight, you got it, the last name was Tom Harmon, who won in 1940.
Here's some info on Mr. Harmon...
Harmon played college football at the University of Michigan from 1938-1940, and won the Heisman Trophy his senior season. Although he made his name as a running back, he also excelled as a kicker and quarterback. Harmon rushed for 2,134 yards during his career at Michigan, completed 100 passes for 1,304 yards and 16 touchdowns, and scored 237 points.
In his final game, against Ohio State Harmon led the Wolverines to a 40-0 victory, scoring three rushing touchdowns, two passing touchdowns, four extra points, intercepting three passes, and punting three times for an average of 50 yards. He led the nation in scoring in 1939 and 1940, and was elected to the College Football All-America Team both years. In 1940, he won the Heisman Trophy and the Maxwell Award both given to the outstanding college football player of the year. Wikipedia

I was so close on the name too...
Alright next question, ill make it a difficult one
:
Which current NFL player holds the major college record for most rushing yards against one opponent in his college career? Bonus if you name the team he played for and the team he set the record against.
Example (not correct): Ron Dayne, played for wisconsin, set record against Michigan.

Good enough, Tomlinson played for TCU, and against Texas el Paso he played only 3 games and had almost 800 yards rushing.
Your up Incandenza.

Not Jamal Anderson...
You're thinking of Raiders center Barrett Robbins, who completely lost his shit the night before the 2003 super bowl (whichever one that was).
Anyway. I'm sure Neph will be along with the answer soon enough.

Wow, I nailed that one. Don't know why, but that always stuck with me. Maybe it had something to do with being 16... anyway.
Easy one...
Who's the last pitcher in the major leagues to win 30 games in a single season?

Psssssh. Denny Mclain.
I figured you were a slam dunk for the robinson question, neph... and yeah, ole' ron mexico is in for a rough stretch.
New question:
Name the former red sox player who had a nasty dispute with the team over ownership of the world-series-winning ball.

You know the worst part of it? I was thinking of Mackowiak, for the Chi Sox, who the Tigers are playing right now. Knew it couldn't be him, then I thought of Mientkiewicz, and figured I'd try that. As far as spelling, we have plenty of Polish people here in the Detroit area, some of whom are family members, so I'm familiar somewhat with Polish spelling. Now, a question...
Which NFL team set the record for fewest interceptions in a single season, and how many did they record? Bonus if you know the year.
