Indo-China Revamp (First update! Bottom P.1)

Post by Unit_2 »

Hello everyone,

Me and pepperonibread were going to try to revamp the Indo-China map,
we still need KEYOGE to approve it, but what do you guys think about a revamp of Indo-China?

Post what you think needs added/fixed if you like the idea. Here is a picture of it to refresh your memory.

a indo china revamp is pointless, the playability sucks.

yup,i agree with kyle, its better to try to create complete new map of indochina,or even better to create southeast asia map, because in these case you have more terittory and better playability.

Indochina is one of my favorite maps and nothing about it should change except graphics during a revamp.

Oh the opinion of the CCer, it's always right. Every map is different and appeals to different people, it's not a matter of whether you think it sucks playability wise at all.

I've never played it much, but spice up the graphics a bit by all means, it doesn't have to be changed in any way with the playability, otherwise everyone will try to get it to conform, as it is it could be a good one for two player games, I don't know. But what I do know is that plenty of people like it how it is, spice up the graphics and that's about it.

gimil is correct, but that doesn't mean others can't try it themselves as well. People wanted competition when it came to revamps, so it's a free-for-all.

Anyway, this is one of the maps where I have had no response from the original cartographer. Once Andy gets back from his little break, we can discuss how to pursue the idea.

Indochina is a great map harder than it looks so dont take it for granted
just up date the graphics but dont change the layout
It is as is deceptively hard which, for a small map is good

Here's another picture, it seems like Unit's is slightly lower quality than my original:

Also, Unit, you don't have to notify me about any changes I should make, I'll be watching this thread from now on.

P.S.: I'd make the title [Unofficial] Indochina Revamp, unless KEYOGI has already OK'ed it.

Looks good, nice work pepper. I do think the lines are a bit too thick though - a new player might mistake them for impassable borders, or something (mostly because it seems between continent and sea is the same as between continent and continent, if that makes sense).

The army circles over look a little odd. Other than that: great start!
