Can you do me a favour and give me your opinion on this game:

http://www.conquerclub.com/game.php?game=621137

I believe blue and red have a secret alliance, they are short stacked against each others regions and have been for some time, but will not attack each other.

Please let me know what you think.

the best thing to do in this situation, is not bring suspicions into the game chat...it never helps...never...it makes them want to attack you...if you accuse innocent players of cheating, they will kill you anyways...

second, if they are cheating, it gives them ample time to cover their tracks and youll never know anyways..

so absolutely nothing gained by jumping the gun....trust me on this, ive played many, suspected many, but always wait to see how they play out...and youd be surprised what happens at the end of the game

as far as being short stacked, i play every game like that...i keep very non threatening borders...but it isnt a result of an alliance, spoken or unspoken, its just how i play it....

now in that game, the armies are pretty even, the territories are even...its very possible that one of them is waiting for you and the other to fight...and just pick up the pieces for a win...but im pretty sure, you wouldnt be alive if they had an actual alliance....

so just hold off next time...ask someone to look at it in private, or just wait to see till the end...otherwise you run the risk of ruining a perfectly good game, and you certainly have sealed your own death in this one...if you accuse me of cheating in a game, i assure you, you will never win it..

also, do a little digging, see if they have many games together...if they dont, there probably isnt any alliance...ones from britain, ones from canada....

im not saying there is no chance youre right...theres always a chance...but if you accuse every player who doesnt attack a border for a round, you will be on so many ignore lists, you wont be playing anyone...just relax and play it out....if they systematically wipe you out, than so be it, but accusing blue who has almost nothing of not taking on red who was very strong, or you who was even stronger....just doesnt make any sense....

there are a lot of cheaters in here....but there are way more accusations than there are actual cheaters....way more

It looks fairly suspicious they are both british, both near enough same rank and mainly attack you. :?

no it does not
multi´s tend to have different rankings since multi´s tend to farm.
Secret alliance types usually dont leave enough of you to last that long into the game (like Fitz said), so i´d be surprised if there was an alliance.
Not saying its impossible, just not likey in my view. I am not a mod though

If you suspect a secret alliance, leave feedback to that effect. If they accumulate enough accusations, we'll look further into it.

secret alliances

Post by KillScream »

sorry but i see secret alliances though very annoying, a part of this game, i have played many games of live risk (round a table) and alliances can be made by the nod of a head or a wink here and there!! it represents real life politics! and if you did go onto win your victory would be even more sweet at the end of the day there can only be one winner, and you can always use subtle means to turn them against each other......just a thought, not advocating it but i dont see how it can ever be truly eliminated

hey guys, i was not saying it`s something that i advocate, i`m just saying i cant see how it can ever be eliminated from the game, so rather than cry about it people should realise that it some games it will obviously happen, and players will have to adjust their game accordingly! as i said if you won a game where there was a blatent secret alliance, it would be an excellent result for you, also if you spot the so called `secret alliance` then it would be no different from an announced alliance. as i said not something i support but something that is all ways going to happen, some people would rather win by any means nessacary, than have the knowledge that they were the best player on the map. a reflection on human nature i`m afraid! :(
