I think it is the greatest map idea ever. I love the book and the map has many cities great for cc.

dumb idea, shelve it

I really enjoyed reading Eragon and Eldest, and I initially thought this map would be a great idea.

But then I thought a bit deeper. Problem (1) is that there are only two real countries on Alagaësia: Surda and the Empire (and I suppose the forrest). The books are made in such a way that the Empire covers almost everywhere, with no distinguishable borders. (2) And anybody looking at the map can see the vast amount of open space in the middle and the Hadarac. (3) There are a lot of cities on the map in Alagaësia, but cities are not really condusive to good Conquer Club maps.
I don't want to sound too pessimistic, but this map just wouldn't really suite a CC map. (Unless, of course, it was altered drastically).

It doesn't matter about the countries! The bonuses could be for like surda, the forest, the beor mountains, and the coast. The hadarac desert could just be a middle place that connects to a bunch of places like the quad in conquer club university. Her'es a map of it.

Unfortunately this map has been abandoned, the cartographer hasn't shown activity for a while.

That's incredibly sad. The thought of an Eragon map was pretty awesome though.
You can always get more with a kind word and a 2-by-4 than with just a kind word.

from what i'd heard in a different thread, it sounds like an Eragon/ Alagaisia map is Dublin Doogey's next project

i've been thinking of working on this project and found it fun to devise a map.
alagaesia:

my map
Image

it has 48 territories( i though this would be good for those 3,4 and 6 player games) with 6 empires, one of them being quite large

any thoughts suggestions ideas?

edit: i also now realized i didn't name a territory

It looks a nice map to me, but is it playable

Have you thought about the armies you get for holding the continents

It's OK. Fuzzy, though. It seems semi-playable, but you have some good ideas. Maybe you and Dublin should work together on it.
ImageChildren, this is what happens to hockey players, druggies, and Hillary Clinton.

To me there seems to be to many big continents that have a boundary to eachother. Very difficult to conquer, and that's the goal of the game.

Sorry for my bad english

Before the map goes any further just wanted to ask has anyone seen about copyright issues? Becuase i believe it would be a good map however there is no use going on if you are not allowed by law.

Do you need an excuse to have a war? I mean, who for? Can't you just say "You got lots of cash and land, but I've got a big sword, so divy up right now, chop chop."

I would have to agree with drainyou and the others....it is very similar to the Middle Earth map... But perhaps it can make it. :)

Just wanted to say that I would LOVE an Alagaesia map, I am a huge Inheritance Trilogy fan and look forward to playing an Alagaesia map in the very near future. *fingers crossed*

Eragon and Eldest are great books.

The movie sucked

The map would be better if the Desert was unpassable like in the other one.
