For those of us who use firefox what should we do?

The only color that I am having any problems with is the dark blue. intead of that being the second color...could it be the sixth color maybe?

This would mostly help people who don't use firefox. Some people play from libraries(my nephew who referred me) which usually use internet explorer and cannot be helped by firefox plugins.

The firefox plugin lets you fade out the map.

this is probably a strange and random suggestion, but is it possible to enable more colors and let players choose their own colors??? of course, u wouldn't be able to pick the color if someone else already chose it for that game

If lack used 'em's to size the map one could zoom in via a ctrl + scroll.

Maybe up the dpi on a map to reduce pixelation.

But yea... Random idea, dont know how well it would actually work.

I'll experiment and maybe release it in my next version of the gm script.

thats a good idea. i have trouble telling the difference between threes and eights sometimes

I agree that it is very difficult to read the numbers and see the colors, especially the darker ones when they are located in non-contrasting countries. I think it is unreasonable for us to have to use special add-ons or copy our maps into a different program to be able to play the game.

As things are now, the numbers show up in a little shadow circle on the map. That shadow circle has some transparency. Perhaps instead consider the following:

1) Use only lighter colors as was suggested previously (i.e. pink, yellow, teal and any others that may be easier to pick up than what we are using-I believe there are more light colors, such as white, light green, etc)
2) Use bigger numbers and/or stronger outlines on each number, perhaps in white
3) Make the shadow circle non-transparent and perhaps make it white or gray
4) When hovering the mouse over a country, to have that then reveal the color and number of armies in a bigger format.

I think replacing the orange with maybe black, and changing the darker pink color to like a dark royal purple would pretty much fix the problem (for me anyway)

A number of people are calling for the use of lighter colors because they are easier to see on dark backgrounds and I'm sure that is true but I am struggling to make out the lighter colors (yellow, chartreuse) against the light gray background common to all games. Please take the various color situations into consideration before making changes. You have the various map backgrounds and the light gray in the informational spaces. Thanks.

Allow me to translate for him.

There's a script for the Firefox extension Greasemonkey (Thread is in General Discussion) specifically for people who are colorblind or have trouble seeing colors.

That may help.

You may also want to try adjusting the color settings on your monitor to a brighter level.

No what actually meant was that he should purchase a Helper Monkey which is trained to help out blind people with chores around the house. In the case of CC said monkey perches near the computer of the blind person and smacks the person across the face once for each army on a given territory.
