I just wish the organization of the ranks made a little more sense. :)

Other than that great work with the site.

P.S. If you were thinking of reorganizing the ranks you could google any military or otherwise rank-using organization.

Yep, there are lots of existing organizations that use ranks. The symbols we used are a conglomerate of existing insignia and new ones in the best order we could come up with.

Most insignia for officers in real organizations are long patches with different images on them. ie, the British general badge:

Images like that don't work for our use because they need to fit in a square box. So we chose existing military symbols when possible, and combined them with the pre-existing ranks to form our own unique system of insignia. No existing set would work for our use very well.

Thats rubbish Sully....You can just get standard ranks in the British Army as well. When they wear those it means they have higher than the standard rank.

Dont mess with me i was in the Army  :D

Well are there 15 different insignia that would all fit in a square box? If there is, I couldn't find them and I did a lot of searching.

We have some American insignia, some British, and some Russian touches. Of course the cook is original and the cadet symbol belongs somewhere else but I did a lot of searching to find symbols that would work. Hell, I even ended up looking at insignia from Star Trek one time by accident!
