Favorite Music

Post by cawck mongler »

Apparently that other thread on music was breaking allllllllll the rules, so this will be the official music thread.

I mainly listen to industrial and metal, and my favorite bands right now are either KMFDM, Deathstars or Hanzel und Gretyl. They're all German and likely better then your guys's pussy music, in my opinion.

Other bands I like are Covenant, Leningrad, Edguy, Dimmu Borgir, Aphex Twin and Daft Punk (had to add them). I also enjoy classic rock to some degree, despite my hatred of 99% of the genres fans. If you know any non mainstream classic rock bands, I'd like to hear them, all music has its steaming pile of shit mainstream bands and I've really only heard AC/DC (see steaming pile of shit) and whatnot.

You and I have similar tastes in music (I actually saw KMFDM play in a small club not too long ago). My genres of choice are industrial and techno. Nothing will ever dethrone Skinny Puppy as my favourite band. I also listen to a lot of FLA, Klutae (and all the side-projects of those above), DJ Shadow, Pigface, DJ Accucrack, DJ Dieselboy... I could go on...

I hear ya.

I like a lot of stuff... every kind of punk (rock, pop, hardcore), lots of rock (alternative, classic, garage), and the occasional forge into industrial, electronica, or metal.

Go check that out for the specifics, if you care enough!

I'm mostly a classic rock guy. In order:

AC/DC, Led Zeppelin, Van Halen, The Eagles, The Who

Though I'm starting to step into the Metal scene... in order:

Metallica, Megadeth

I listen to a bit of alternative, very little though. And yes, also in order:

Switchfoot, Muse, All-American Rejects

And I loooove stuff from the '50s. Bill Haley, Chuck Berr, etc etc.

I like my music repetitive and electronic. Techno, innit (anything from Chris Liberator to Carl Craig, Juan Atkins to Crystal Distortion, ..).

Although it depends on the time of day, really. I like stuff such as, say, Nancy Sinatra or Hildegaard Knef earlier on in the evening. Or a nice bit of hip-hop, or maybe Front 242/Laibach/Rammstein type stuff. Really depends on what mood I'm in at the time.

So in other words; dull, boring, manufactured and something you can 'dance' too like a puppet.

(That sentence reminds me of Symphony of Destruction by Megadeth)

People like you are 'Sheeple'.

Bah, Bah, Bah (sheep noise)

Very cool. They've got a cellist in the band! I also liked the not-so-subtle tribute to Neil Young at the end.

Awesome, glad you liked it. Neil Young actually signed off on that piece and didnt charge a fee fer them to play that.
