Trump's press secretary said this about Trump's pardon for Juan Orlando Hernández, the former president of Honduras.
"White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt defended Trump’s action as a reversal of “over-prosecution” by the Biden administration."
So putting a drug trafficker in prison is over-prosecution but killing the people on the boat isn't?
I would hope for more ethical consistency. I do not see that in these two disparate cases linked by the illegal drug angle. I do not know much about this pardon by Trump, I will say.
Also, on Pardons. MOST Presidents, based on my recollection, wait until near the end of their terms; Trump is not waiting. But really, Trump does things his way and not always follows precedent.
On that NOTE:
1) which President moved his office to the West Wing?
Theodore Roosevelt
2) which President first used the Oval Office?
William Taft
