Losing a tracker is obviously bad, but getting a mafia framer is nice. Thanks 3rd party psycho killer. Now, if you could please raise your hand so that we can give you a standing ovation

Exactly. It said in the first post that Strike was out. It might be nothing. It was just weird.

Re: D2 of The Reid technique Mafia Game
1 Strike and your out it seems

Re: D2 of The Reid technique Mafia Game
Going for Strike is an ambiguous choice, I feel. While it was quite logical that scum would not touch him as several people were on his case (not me, however, I only did the random thing randomly and wasn't really suspecting Strike), he could've been the target of several PRs trying to check him out, which, I think, would pose a threat to our snake in the midst. Obviously, they wouldn't be called out by anyone other than a watcher - and why watch Strike if he looked scummily? You'd track him instead. Or cop check him. Maybe I'm talking myself into thinking that it's a good choice. The choice of an experienced player... Any thoughts anyone?

I'm used to poisoner roles which poison someone - killing them at the end of the day if not healed. E.g. https://wiki.mafiascum.net/index.php?title=PoisonerRagian wrote:Exactly. It said in the first post that Strike was out. It might be nothing. It was just weird.

I think someone can claim the Strike kill should they desire. Not necessarily a serial killer, Sonic did hint at the "powerful night action". Alternatively, it might just have been Dev.

Re: D2 of The Reid technique Mafia Game
It was obviously a good choice as it got rid of a mafia framer, that will slow down their art forgery work for a while as they will have to find a new framer.
But was it luck or was there a crystal ball at work, maybe two people working together.
If it was a cop or a town person with special powers no need to try to overthink it, but if it was a killer who is a threat to everyone then maybe an investigation.
Or maybe Charle the Elevator Killer might have some thoughts?

The greater concern is who shot Kongming? The greatest mystery since JR.
Maybe Loose woke up in the shower with a smoking gun in his hand...or was he just pleased to see his girlfriend?

Re: D2 of The Reid technique Mafia Game
Who Killed Kongming?
The lanterns flickered, minds grew cold,
Kongming’s secrets left untold.
A schemer’s wit, a master’s role—
But tell me, was a grassy knoll involved?
The players whisper, eyes that dart,
Each with guilt stitched through their heart.
Deception weaves, alliances dissolve—
And still we ask: was a grassy knoll involved?
The night was long, the candles low,
A shadow moved — a fatal blow.
Now silence reigns where plans evolved…

Mafia killed kongming.
The good part is that our cop likely has truthful results on future nights.
I am fairly sure Dev is third party. Dev, what is your win condition?

Town has to vote D2. Can't just sit and wait. Can we find a candidate?
Re: D2 of The Reid technique Mafia Game
I think we need to find out a bit more about what happened last night before we start lynching people, that's my thoughts anyway.

Dev isnt cop, isn't (dead) tracker. Likely is the third party killing Strike. if Dev is not responsible for killing strike, I still think Dev isn't a town pr.

Your condition n°4
"You may not directly claim this knowledge in thread or claim to be the ? (the host enforces silence by rule). Faillure to do so will result in your and the ? instant death."

How good is my random scumdar?
I think some clarity is what is called for.
I do want to probe around a bit.
It is however in my nature to tunnel when I strongly suspect someone.
What is clear to me is;
Town took a hit on Kong - role and player
Mafia took a bigger hit on Strike - role and player
Therefore whilst Town Benefited vis a vis Mafia from N1 - the biggest beneficiary is actually 3P
What is not clear to me is;
Where poisoner fits into what Sonic has said (re 3P in particular)?
Why Rag end of D1 wavered from confident that Dev was town a bit just before I unvoted Dev end of D1?
Why Extreme didn't come down on the side of voting Dev D1 but now has voted Dev D2?
tactics seem wrong to me - and I don't know if he is egging me on to tunnel?
Whether current evidence is stronger to lynch anyone D2 than it was and when we didn't D1
strategy seems wrong to me. EW (perhaps - EW does throw dummies) and Hjelp?
I concluded rightly or wrongly late in the day D1 that Dev was probably not 3P but actually could as likely as anyone be Mafia.
I currently think Rag is more likely to be Town than Mafia, but is a bit more likely than anyone else (including Dev) to be 3P.
he didn't vote anyone D1
I think if there is a clear case to lynch a Mafia D2 if such a case emerges we should do so.
Want to probe and/or see probing but currently flavour confused personally - does my confusion of sense of flavour indicate I've been poisoned now?

Halrob claims pr
Dev claims pr
Tracker died
Cop is in play (can be Halrob, cant be Dev I think)
Most town I do not see with a condition of "if you reveal this, you die and XYZ also dies". It fits a lot more with a solo "wolf" role, like Kingm's role in the previous game.
Had Dev claimed the Strike kill or outlined a win condition (claiming third party), I would have let it slide. I dont and I still think he is third party, but one who doesnt seem willing to cooperate openly.
I vote today instead of yesterday because of the pr death in kingkong, shifting the scales to third party from town for me.

The your and the ? instant death is what I hadn't registered earlier in D1.
It said to me Dev and 3p were separate players.
It also said to me that Dev claimed knowledge of who the 3p is, but cannot reveal it.
Also indicates to me Dev is town.
Does anyone disagree with that logic?
esp extreme and Hjelp?
Rag prompted the above from dev, when he was wavering on Dev being town. There's something about rags play that makes me suspect him most of any of walking a narrow 3p line. Im struggling to see a narrow 3p line being consistent with killing ability though. I'm looking at the only detained by bars of steel, or touched by ?? hands. I'm interpreting that as can't be killed at night but can be lynched.
There's the Hannibal lecter theme where I remember lecter sort of helping the detective when behind bars and there's the eating ray liottas brain scene but I can't remember too much of the film's clearly enough. Does anyone have clearer memories of the film's to help interpret the lecter theme?

My mind is spiralling call it tunnelling if you like on Devante
There is is there not knowledge he has?
He seems to have had a condition that he had to make a claim on l-1 or l-2 does he not?
He seems to have evaded that condition by "claiming" the huge probably not in this game community sword.
He seems not to be allowed to claim 3p.
It was the your and the ? instant death that got me thinking he couldn't be same as 3p.
What if ? is jail keeper. Jail keeper who is keeping him safe at night behind bars of steel and maybe locking up co prisoners as fresh meat for lecter to feed on.
Oh Devante how did strike taste with a glass of Chianti?
