Re: D1 of The Reid technique Mafia Game
Probably and if he wants to engage then he will otherwise we will be dealing with Devo
Re: D1 of The Reid technique Mafia Game
I get town vibes from hjelp, halrob, devante, and, to some extent, Loose. I have no idea about either of the kingkongs. And darin starts to trouble me a bit.
And then there are the two big guns. Strike might be leaving, and EW might be town. Or steering the narrative.

This is my second vote?Loose Canon wrote:Hmmm after following extreme I'm now unsettled at having done so.
Reason being I don't think extreme usually votes this much on day 1 of games. I've had the shivers that extreme is 3P.
I'll just re point out that rag on the other hand does usually vote D1 but hasn't this game.
It's the bout of Extreme shivering that's unsettling me right now though
You can check my previous games, I think I vote more usually on this site.

I kinda treat you as town until I see a hint of the opposite, then I start to doubt myself. I'm so far still calling you town.Ragian wrote:I get town vibes from hjelp, halrob, devante, and, to some extent, Loose. I have no idea about either of the kingkongs. And darin starts to trouble me a bit.

Re: D1 of The Reid technique Mafia Game
I will answer on my position re Extreme.
Its actually not just Extreme.
I got the particular shivers on Extreme in the context of thinking there was likely a 3rd Party in this game.
I've now reread Sonic (some of Sonic the bit with the ? (?) - not the poetry - sorry Sonic I'm sure you are a Star of a Bard) and I now think more likely 2 rival mafia factions of 2 players each. But I probably need to reread again and again - sigh.
If I'd thought there were 2 rival mafia factions I might well not have had such a shiver about Extreme, or not registered a shiver at all.
IF for arguments sake there are 2 rival mafia factions members of those factions will be interested in seeking out members of the opposite faction as well as in concealing their membership of a faction.
The point is there are now 4 players whose play is - I think a bit anomalous - to how I'd usually expect them to play D1.
Ragian
Strike
Charle
now Extreme
I'll leave it to Extreme as to whether he wants to explain why he has cast more votes around than usual (for him) D1.
I'll leave it to Ragian as to whether he wants to explain why he has unusually (for him) not cast any votes D1.
I'll leave it to Strike as to whether he wants to explain why after some initial suspicions he became more active for him D1, but now has resorted to nothing and whether he wants to trot out excuses he has made in past games. (It was believe it or not his flurry of activity for me that was noteworthy - not his absence now). (And I'll point out that just because someone isn't posting doesn't mean they aren't reading)
I'll leave it to Charle as to whether he wants to explain why he has relative to his usual self been less active D1 than usual.
(I don't think voting pressure is going to make any difference D1 now because of the looming deadline)
The questions above to the anomalous 4 are I think questions that should be at the back of the minds of Town players.
FP'd by Extreme - thank you - I'll take him at his word it could be my bad - not going to edit the above for it though.

Actually I've just realised how weird it is if I was wrong in thinking there is a 3P and also wrong in how I think ew plays D1 normally, and that the 2 wrongs gave me the extreme shivers.
I'd probably be a psychiatrists wet dream - especially if I was wearing lycra.

Re: D1 of The Reid technique Mafia Game
Unless im wrong Strike is still in the game. Just having trouble to keep up the pace. Which is fine and understandable, it's a runaway freight train right now. You can't stop or slow it down anymore once it operates at unsafe speeds due to loss of operator controlstrike wolf wrote:Im going to be honest, Im having trouble keeping up with the game right now. Every time Ive been trying to read up, I've had to get up before Im done and then theres 10+ more posts.
So I do not see any reason for any sub atm. This roller coaster will reach its end station on midnight halloween (on propper Ireland time).

Re: D1 of The Reid technique Mafia Game
Is there an ominous element in that with night looming?

Re: D1 of The Reid technique Mafia Game
Does seem ominous doesn't it Loose
Also Strike might be out doing dark deeds as we speak and the silence is a bluff
The Silent Assassin
In smoky rooms where whispers spin,
The night begins, the game within.
Eyes dart quick — who’s friend, who’s foe?
Beneath the mask, the truth won’t show.
A clink of glass, a hidden grin,
The Silent Assassin slides right in.
No boast, no word, no hint, no tell,
Just patient calm — and secrets swell.
By candlelight the town debates,
While fate is sealed through shadowed gates.
A glance, a nod, a motion slight,
One life erased before the light.
When dawn arrives, the crowd will cry,
Another innocent’s gone to die.
But who’s to blame? Who hides the sin?
The Silent Assassin smiles within.
Through lies and fear, the players strain,
To smoke the serpent from the chain.
Yet every vote, each fervent claim,
Just feeds the fire — just fuels the game.
When all is lost, and silence reigns,
Their trust lies shattered, bound in chains.
The last one standing, cold, unseen —
The Silent Assassin — calm, serene.

I can't find reason why to vote Kingman and regarding strikewolf, I guess strike wolf is busy, like others say they are.
Re: D1 of The Reid technique Mafia Game
Makes sense thanks
Re: D1 of The Reid technique Mafia Game
but if one more votes Kingman then I can consider to vote only for leverage.
Re: D1 of The Reid technique Mafia Game
@ halrob64
An idea, if you vote Kingman then I will vote too, we vote for leverage and then see what will happen ?
What do you think?

EW, surely they won't know the roles of their scum partners on day 1 until the night when they talk to each other. They know who their partners are at this stage but not their roles? Unless scum has day talk as well which is not impossible with Sonic SetupExtreme Ways wrote: Loose is completely correct here btw. Mafia have more information by virtue of being the informed majority. They know what roles exist on their side, which also means they can fill in what other roles may exist more easily.
