Yeah, the numbers I posted were from a war that we ended up winning handily. That said, we also "rested our starters" and tried some different maps in the home sets, so it may have been more competitive than it would have otherwise been.

2025: 48,592

That's a 22% Decline in the site numbers.
I’m not home so it’s hard for me to reply at the moment but what numbers are these so I can reply later? They aren’t player numbers and don’t seem like it’s game count or anything either so idk what numbers you’re referencing
You mention players but no chance these are player numbers and it’s roughly a monthly game number so it can’t be yearly games. Not sure.

Players in clans have gone from roughly 900 in 2018 to ~300 at best according to Keefies latest post. So that’s -66% over 6-7 years. Idk the numbers for last 4 years but I know once or twice in between I had numbers I could see if I still have for reference.

Regardless I think everyone’s on the same page that site growth hinders clans, but doesn’t mean it can’t grow. It’s definitely hard and generally if it’s outpacing / slower shrinking then the site decline it’s a sign of positive health area even if it’s not “growing” per se.

Number of clans (vs active members) relies heavily on leaders being available to invest the time
Oh right that was game numbers.

Player numbers are arounf 3600 rn while in March 2022 it was 5500 so the decline in percentage in Site is even far greater
Ok, I finally was able to pull up some numbers. This can't be right and so I'm not sure where we are off here lol

I did a search and came up with totally different numbers. I am just looking at 2022 but none of the numbers make sense so far.

Year/ Your #'s / My Numbers
2022: 61,807 / 713,000 and change

What you said was games (62k vs 713k games started and finished in 2022)

Can't be players either, because we had roughly 5.2k players at the start of 2022, which is way different then 62k

We have roughly 60k games a month and about 10k games a month on speeders typically back then.

I found my old info for Clan Stats back in the day as well. There was about 750 clan players at the time give or take it looks like so i have no idea where these numbers come from or what they were supposed to be :)

Anyway, if you wanted we could compare some notes if we really care that much to dig into the past. Sorry for the delayed response needed to get in front of a computer for it instead of my phone

Yeah, As I said the first numbers were not right. i later said we had around 5.5K or so on 2022 which is closer to the one you posted.

Also were did you got the 750 Clan players? Cause when looking at the CC and CL of 2022 I find that hard to eblieve. unless you were just adding the numbers of members in the clan plage.

two things that really hurts.

1. Ongoing site issues. If a newbie tries to play, they would quickly be turned off and not come back.

2. the absolute horrible shitty unplayable amount of pop ups and spam that shows up if you are not a premium player. My premium ran out and I was amazed how unwelcoming and unappealing the site as a whole was to a freemium player. If I was a newbie, I would immediately say no thank you and move on.

Both of these are great points. I can also attest to the second. The allure to start paying CANNOT be that the site will no longer suck horribly if you pay. Especially if you're relying on 15-20 year-old graphics and layout as it is.

There are less and less people registering an account too, that can't help
Just for fun, I looked at the creation date of different accounts
https://www.conquerclub.com/forum/membe ... profile&u=
Account no.:
2nd: Created Jan 1st, 2006
100 000th: Created June 3rd, 2007
200 000th: Created Apr. 10th, 2008
300 000th: Created Jan 28th, 2009
400 000th: Created Feb. 14th, 2010
500 000th: Created Jan. 4th, 2011
600 000th: Created June 18th, 2012
700 000th: Created Dec. 21st, 2014
800 000th: Created Nov. 01, 2017
900 000th: Created Nov 18th, 2021
920 000th: Created Dec. 20th, 2022
930 000th: Created Aug. 10th, 2024
We're now at the 932 049th
You can graph it out, but let me tell you it doesn't look good (and that includes all the bot accounts created that never had any intention of playing a game). We're on pace for about a 10-year span between the 900 000 and 1 000 000th accounts
Retention is a whole other can of worms too, which has been covered extensively and I won't go into.

As far as recent site issues, I blame most of them on the HACK of this site, so I view that as (hopefully) short-lived and behind us.

As far as ads, I had mentioned I play games on my iPad, such as Plants vs. Zombies and other rather simple games. The ADS there drive me NUTS, even if the longest one lasts 30 seconds. I am constantly watching or closing ads on my iPad when playing games. Matching colors in test tubes, in all its iterations is fun too, but again LOTS of ads.

Good Point by ZaBeast, too.

Pro tip; playing in airplane mode eliminates ads in lots of those games ;)

3,401…. A new recorded low , surprisingly the Easter event doesn’t seem to have created a whole host of “new” players like these special events can unless the hunters are really on their game.
As we hit the northern hemisphere spring summer(our quietest period) things look desperate.

Premium Members are declining massively. That much is obvious but I am unsure how it helps.

greenoaks wrote:i don't think it matters too much if cc has 21 or 18 thousand members.

what i'd like to know is how many are premium? we pay for this site so are our numbers increasing, decreasing or stagnating?

Prove it!

Do you have premium numbers from a year ago compared to now to prove that numbers have declined massivly or are you just spouting verbal diarrhea again? (as usual)

I just bought premium, so there's a +1.

I'm sure that there's some premium subscription people that don't pay attention to their finances, still premium after haven't being logged in for over a year.

Sorry for my troll above Williams. He doesn't get to play in any decent Tourneys because he is a bit of a Cock. I Can't even read what he says but he follows me round everywhere :D . Anyway, that is the recurring payments you are referring to. I personally think it's the only reason CC is still going. If they had to solely rely on Premiums who log in regularly to keep CC afloat I think it would really struggle. It's a shame. But that is good you are back, hopefully the start of a resurgence.

I can’t really speak to what the owners policy is (Bcuz idk) but when I know about these types of things or a verified death, I try to take action or bring to their attention. What they do from there is out of my control but I can at least bring it up and do the right / kind thing.

Yeah, I’m a little critical of auto-subscriptions for that reason. If you have a good product, you don’t need to cheat people for their money. And I know all about the argument “they agreed to the terms blah blah blah” whatever helps you sleep I guess.

I did another quick scan of my old games and found another within about 3 minutes. Last login 2022 still premium. I mean I’m not gonna sit here all day looking for those people, but I’m sure there’s hundreds.

This is a bit of a long story, but here goes,

Around 2004 or so I bought a popular mechanics magazine, in the back, there was a form I filled out to claim my free real silver dollar. I was too naive to understand why they wanted my credit card info, but I wanted that silver dollar so I filled it out.

Well, a few weeks later, I got 4 silver dollars and 2 walking liberty half dollars much to my surprise, and a receipt for $15 dollars charged to my credit card. I figured oh well, it’s just $15

A month later I got another 2 walking libertys and a charge for $15

That went on for about 4 months before I called them to tell them to stop charging my card, they said “sure, no problem, we’ll cancel it now. At the end of the month I received 2 more walking liberty’s and was charged $15 again, I figured well, that must be the final order. I was wrong, I got another 2 the following month.

So I called again and their response was, “we apologize, there was a glitch in our system, we’re canceling your order now”

So any reasonable person would assume that was the last order I would get after all that. Nope, this went on for 6 more months of me trying to stop this $15 monthly charge for two walking liberty half dollars. I finally had to go through my credit card company.

Now 2 walking liberty’s will cost you about $35

The moral of the story is don’t cancel your silver investment opportunities

That’s fair, I don’t really like subscription models either. This was brought up when it was first implimented, and basically the games industry is going / has gone that way for the most part it’s standardized in a lot of ways now.
The argument is the subscription saves money, and if you don’t want the subscription they have a way to do a one time purchase thru the credits system. I don’t like the way they do that (I won’t get into it) but the option is there.

Ultimately the consumer and owner both have their choices to make.

I on the other hand, can only lend a helping hand when I see / hear / know about things. I can’t really spend my time searching for people to save $ for, if it’s not important to them to save $ or notice why invest my own time?

But if it’s given to me or I hear about it, I will try to help. That’s about all I got. Sounds like gym memberships, easy to sign up for but hard to get rid of. Tho I’m your case, you got some nice silver :)
