I've always hated 1x1 games, but I've never been particularly good at them.

But like an idiot, I joined 2 different 1x1 tournaments with a MASSIVE game load, and I'm getting slaughtered by everyone. It could be the lowest cook or the greatest player in the tournament; either way they're kicking my ass.

Hence, my points have plummeted to a low level that I haven't had since first signing up, about 600 pts.

Does anyone have any strategy tips for 1x1 games?
Also, part of the issue is that many of the games, like Labrinth, Age of Merchants and All Bases are Yours, have zero clue. I can't decipher anything from the instructions written on these maps. It's gibberish to me.

So, if anyone is looking for a 1200 pts player as a partner on these types of maps, then let me know. Tell me what to do because that's the only way I'll ever understand these maps. Once I play a couple of games on the map with clear instructions and explanations, then I'll be able to play it on my own.

Strategy depends on the settings. I know most of the maps on this site quite well, so if you want I can partner up on a few of these maps.
