Tourney:
1 vs. 1 play ... no poly, no freestyle. Other settings accepted.

Stage 1
We will start with 18 boxers, who will each fight 8 bouts
After 8 bouts, we will get rid of the tomato cans :)
The top 12 in prize money will advance to Stage 2.

Stage 2
Everyone will fight 4 more bouts (for 12 total)
At the end of this stage, we will cut down to the top 6 boxers on the money list for the Finals.

Finals stage -- The contenders
The top 6 will compete for the championship belt.
This stage will start with the #1 and #2 on the money list fighting for the belt, while #3-#6 will fight to jumble the rankings.
After one cycle of matches, the rankings will be resorted based on results and the #1 contender will fight the champion in the next batch.

Winning the tourney --
There are two ways to win this tourney.
Defend your championship belt three consecutive times OR
Win the championship bout five times total.
* If a title bout ends in a draw, the belt stays with the champion and it is considered a title defense.

SCORING
The boxing bouts ...
In stage 1 ... bouts will be 8 rounds (a map = 1 round)
In stage 2 ... bouts expand to 10 rounds
In the Finals stage ... the championship bout is 12 rounds ... the other bouts are 10 rounds.

Win your map and you win the round (10-9 score in boxing lingo)
A couple special rules ...
Win ANY map in 4 rounds or less and you've scored a KnockOut ... bout is over.

Win in 5 rounds and you get a 10-8 score on ALL THREE of the judges scorecards
Win TWO maps in 5 rounds or fewer and you've scored a KnockOut ... bout is over.

Win in 6 rounds and you get a 10-8 score on TWO of the judges scorecards
Win THREE maps in 6 rounds or fewer and you've scored a KnockOut ... bout is over.

Win in 7 rounds and you get a 10-8 score on ONE of the judges scorecards.

Win in 13+ rounds and it's a split round. Winner gets 10-9 score on TWO cards, and ONE judge gives a 10-9 score to the losing boxer.

Prize $:
Each bout will have a unique prize $ purse that is at stake, depending on how the boxers are ranked.

Win by KO and you receive 88% of the purse.
Win by unanimous decision you receive 65% of the purse.
Win by split decision you receive 57% of the purse.
If the bout ends in a draw then the purse is divided 50/50.
(In the event of a tie, if one boxer has a 5+ advantage in spoils for the bout the purse will go 52/48 in their favor).

All right, we are filled up.

This sheet is on my work setup, so I'll get the form officially filled in Monday when I get in.
But we can get started soon.

Good luck to all.

The opening bouts have been started...sent out the first 4 rounds.
The last four rounds of these bouts will go out sometime early in the week.

Prize money for each of these opening bouts is $1,170,000.

Also note, that the first six bouts for each boxer in Stage 1 have been pre-determined by random draw.

How about showing the full draw and the current Scoreboard? Your Rules are immense so it would be really cool to see how this Tournament develops blow by blow so to speak.

If you have a Excel, it's easy to put it on a Google Sheet for us all to view M8.

So how do knockouts work? Do you still play out the other games of the bout? What happens if both boxers were to get a knockout?

Good question...the first player (by round) to score a KO wins the match.

Win any map in 4 rounds and it's an immediate KO
Win in 5 rounds or less twice and it's a KO in the round where you get your second quick win.
Win in 6 rounds or less three times and it's a KO, also taking effect in the round of that third quick win.
