The Republic have won Random League XIV

The Republic have just secured wins in their last two active matches against ACES and FOED. This will give them a record of W7 D2 L1 and puts them on 16 points. This puts them out of reach of A^ (max 15) and ACES and LOW (max 14).

It will be a while before everything is wrapped up as we still have 13 active matches.

Thanks for doing the admin on this, though what a pity the Challonge spreadsheet is seldom updated and leaves us all in the dark as to what the current standings are. It was only two hours ago that I was penning a forum post encouraging ACES to beat DBD 7-5 (or even 8-6 as Pts Diff may have factored in). My optimistic bubble has just been burst

Fair call mate, apologies. Guess you can't update wins until each group game has been completed and there are quite a few that have dragged on. Guess I was gutted to see ACES still at the top only to now find out we've not won

ACES was in the lead on the first half with perfect score but we really dropped the ball on the second Hallf hopefully we get second place and prepare better for next edition.
