Re: The unholy story of Count Giure "Grando" Stregone
As we are crawling down to HALLOWEEN...
All Hallow's Eve or like the celts called it "Nos Calan Gaeaf"... ‘Our Winter’s Eve’, commemorating the end of autumn harvest season and the beginning of winter that blurred the boundaries between life and death, with the spirits of the death roaming freely across the land.. an extra rule is at hand.
After all the ‘Winter’s Eve’ festivities had large bonfires with everybody dancing around it. When late in the night, and with the fire started to die out, the children and wifes would all run home, believing if they stayed any longer, the fearsome beast "Yr Hwch Ddu Gwta" would chase them and devour their souls.. and the last child out on "Nos Calan Gaeaf" (All Hallow's Eve) was at risk to be eaten alive...
They believed that at exactly the same moment the fire would die out "Yr Hwch Ddu Gwta" would kill any child or woman who has not reached home by then while taking it's soul..
So on Halloween the last player to post their night action in (after a certain short time) will be eaten alive by "Yr Hwch Ddu Gwta",.. the large black tail-less female boar witch who is summoned by the unholy warlock sorcerer Count Grando!!

Oops I lost my role description somewhere but I have Sonic's answer to my questions.Charle wrote:I have one shot at somebody during the day, if it is Grando, he will die, else there is no effect.Devante wrote: Charle; what does this part of your claimed role do: "1 Shot "Sun Vig" on Grando."?
The Striga cannot be killed by lynch. It doesn't say in my role description that the only way to kill him is with the masonic axe. It makes sense to have a backup available somewhere because otherwise that would be very limiting.
If nobody has a similar ability to this, Charle is just town I think?

Re: The unholy story of Count Giure "Grando" Stregone
An interesting point, seems a little convenient that Charle just happens to have that ability especially given that now he's publicly shared it, if he is town scum should just kill him.
That aside however, this has come up a few times now, with people claiming that scum should have targeted you because you have the masonic axe and now you claiming the setup is very limiting and there must be another way to kill the Striga. I don't see why there should be? Yes technically we can't kill him by lynch, but we can and should always be using the axe on anyone we lynch so really there is no limitation at all. The holder of the masonic axe being revealed isn't actually a downside because even if they die it ends up with another townsfolk so there is no reason for scum to have to kill its wielder over any other townsfolk, and no reason for town to be scared of using it.
Mod(s) Question: The masonic axe always stays in possession of a townsfolk, so if its wielder is converted (and therefore no longer town), will the axe be transferred to another player?

The (aXe) and the very large community sword can only be wielded by town and town can never lose it!
A converted one holding it will lose it as soon as the conversion took / takes place
Another townsman will receive it in the morning, masons first

I may have something, I may not have something.
Given the nature of this game I have been inclined to overshare but it hasnt gotten me anywhere yet.

Mate you've already claimed to have the axe. The only reason you would not still have it is if you were converted last night (which is honestly quite possible given you were previously a "confirmed townie"). On the bright side, if you do still have it and that's confirmed by nobody else getting it tomorrow, we can know for sure you weren't converted and are guaranteed safe for as long as you have it or are alive.

Do you have the shotgun? That was found by a dead guy (Fusi) last night and then nobody has said what happened to it. Does jfm still have it?Extreme Ways wrote:That is true.kongming3 wrote:Mate you've already claimed to have the axe. And as you may have guessed, I am the wielder of the masonic axe. The other mason was the wielder of the very large community sword.
I was given the sword at the end of the night and I'm trying to figure out (with sonic) why.

Re: The unholy story of Count Giure "Grando" Stregone
I will post with quotes tomorrow on the phone already. But at least I catched up kinda.
So a few thoughts.
At the begginning I though there were only vampires with convertions ofc. Kind of like the thing game. But apparently there is also another faction wolves like or something. If so there shouldnt be a convertion every night. Unless both factions already converted 1 on N1 1 on N2 and each faction also killed on N1 and N2 explaining only 1 death for night unless deflectors bodyguard had their targets right.
Letters seems to be true, but could be made up or modified so not taking what it says for granted.
Are the vanillized players cause they only had 1 or 2 shot or is cause someone take away their powers?
Halloween event lets them use their powers?

Re: The unholy story of Count Giure "Grando" Stregone
EW there's a few questions I have to be considered - not necessarily exclusively by you - and not necessarily to be answered.
Because of Kongs note there was a presumption that Strike was the other Mason, but then there was also the idea that there may have been two groups of two masons.
How strong is the theory that there were 2 groups of 2 masons?
Do you know the identity of another mason EW.
Have you been communicating with him, are you still communicating with him, what is he saying.
If there are two groups of two masons, its possible you have received the community sword that was held by the other group of masons (if one exists)
I'm thinking the axe is designed to be used on one scum faction, the sword on the other.
IF there was a second group of masons, did they know each other, and were they communicating, what are they saying to each other now?
EW must be considering whether his fellow mason has been converted and therefore should be lynched, and if so today or later if there is a better target today.
I'm airing the questions that are in my mind, and which I'm thinking must similarly (but not necessarily precisely the same) be in the minds of others, but its up to others whether they feel it is judicious or not to try to answer.

I've been very fond of being open about what I know because this is a bastard game where the info you gain may not be accurate.Loose Canon wrote:EW there's a few questions I have to be considered - not necessarily exclusively by you - and not necessarily to be answered.

The unnamed player who I for now will assume is town was the original holder of the other weapon I wont name because I dont want to do the bold and large characters atm. His night action was linked to the sword, and the sword has - without a note - turned up at my place. Masonic weapons get passed around to town, but masons have prio. I have to assume that something else interfered with the action because the other stuff said in mason chat by host only makes sense from a standpoint where they are still my buddy - info I am not supposed to know if Mason Buddy is no longer town.

With that being said if both the people involved in today's main matchup are town then it looks very good for Pix trying to move away from it.
For now it reads partnered with one of them.

Re: The unholy story of Count Giure "Grando" Stregone
Both the axe and sword can't be lost by town except in the case of the death or conversion of its original wielder, in which case they lose possession of it and it ends up with a different townsfolk in the morning. I obviously don't know the exact specifics of why you're hesitating, but it really feels like they were your buddy as of last night until they ended up converted, proven by the sword being transferred to you.
Re: The unholy story of Count Giure "Grando" Stregone
It also honestly makes sense to have as a fail-safe for if a mason is converted, otherwise we might go the whole game having an inner circle towny being scum with no good way to find that out
Re: The unholy story of Count Giure "Grando" Stregone
And conversions are a kill, an extra scum, and a method of warping trust in townsfolk all wrapped up in one action so it makes sense for there to be ways to counter them.
