Just curious if holding a player hostage in order to earn more points is cheating or simply really bad sportsmanship?
Game 23483213
One of a series of 7 games in a tourney. Two are still active, I've already won the other five and in expedient time.
Weirdly enough this guy cast the first stone by insinuating something that wasn't even true. Funnily enough the only games still active are those that he is likely to win and which have been drawn out or deliberately delayed.
See game chat Game 23483215
He's happy to post crap but doesn't have the courtesy to reply.

But a good read neverthelessKeefie wrote:Ridiculous. A complete waste of Mods time.
Come on Keefie...it's not cheating which you may have wanted it to be (and which most reports construe) but it's abuse nevertheless. Besides, he deserves it! Ignorant p.o.s. Just finish the games ffs!
Anyway, back to the question, is holding someone hostage instead of finishing a game when it could be finished abuse or not? Cheers

Re: Craig25(tg)
I need to wait for the game to finish and the fog to lift to try and determine if any hostage holding has taken place, but I can't see it in the logs.
There is no rule against waiting the full 24 hours to take a turn though, even if it is annoying
Generally the term "Hostage Holding" in CC relates to final rounds where the hostage holder could easily win, but just drops and ends without killing their opponent.

Thanks TeeGee. Actually Craig has since explained the situation. Some of our games were trench, some were not. He thought he was playing a trench game hence he didn't finish me off when he could have done.

The Game finished in Round 13, 1 Round I thought it was Trench when it took me maybe 30 Seconds to take a turn? Plus the Accuser was trying to lose the games he was losing 1st in the series in other games.
This is a complete waste of my time.

You see, this is what bugs me! We played 7 games and all those I was winning (5 wins to 1 loss so far) I completed before any of those I was losing, so what point is he trying to make? I already explained in chat that if any turns took me longer it was because they required more thought and I'd usually sleep on them, but seems he thinks I was cherry-picking games that I'd lose and playing them first which couldn't be further from the truth!Craig25 wrote:The Game finished in Round 13, 1 Round I thought it was Trench when it took me maybe 30 Seconds to take a turn? It's sore loser syndrome or something, I can't tell, but when he explained that he thought the game which he could have completed was trench I accepted it. Now I'm thinking it was a lie if he believes what he's written in the post above (and why would I have completed the 5 games I won first?) so he actually did it on purpose in some sort of misguided retaliation. The guy's delusional.

I recomend the FOE function so you don't play again (auto-tournaments excluded)Chariot of Fire wrote: You see, this is what bugs me!
