New conspiracy theories
Does anyone find it a wee bit suspicious that Mike Lynch (recently exposed for conning Hewlett-Packard into buying his essentially worthless tech company for $11 billion) goes "missing" in a shipwreck?
On a modern superyacht, with every bit of modern lifesaving equipment, within sight of land, in a "storm" so terrible that even a skinny little debutante with a baby in her hand managed to swim away.
Granted, Lynch was acquitted of criminal charges in the H-P scam, but as O.J. found out, the civil charges can be a bigger bitch.
Let me predict now that when his "body" is found, there will be room for error in the identification.

So I'm all for good theory, but the theory element seems to be lacking here.Dukasaur wrote:Does anyone find it a wee bit suspicious that Mike Lynch (recently exposed for conning Hewlett-Packard into buying his essentially worthless tech company for $11 billion) goes "missing" in a shipwreck?

Didn't Mike sell his company to HP like 15 years ago? I know he was held liable in the UK back in 2022, with damages tbd and was recently found not guilty of US criminal charges (he was gonna have to pay in Europe but avoided jail time in the US)... but I'm not sure how any of that translates into a reason to kill him + the head of Morgan Stanley in Europe (who frankly is a bigger fish no?).
VERY worth noting that Mike's co-defendant Stephen Chamberlain died just two days before this boating incident in a car crash.
There is a good material here, but like what exactly is the theory? He knew too much, deep state killed him? He faked his death (his estate would still have to pay in the UK suit, and he just avoided US jail time)? Personal vendetta from some HP head who's life went to shit because of this deal?

Also... Maybe hitred was onto something. He posted 'follow the insurance money' and then the post magically disappeared so 'they' are monitoring this thread. If I don't make it please tell me family I love them and donate my NFTs to charity. Know that if police say it was suicide, Bill Gates had me killed

His co defendant has also died in a car accident.
Re: New conspiracy theories
For the ship to go down there needs to be a chain of very unfortunate events and decisions.
The ship was famous for having a very tall mast which could cause drag. If this was combined will very low weight (near empty fuel tanks) it might have stability issues. This might be amplified if the engines were not running and the ship wasn’t pointed into the storm.

Yeah, HR has a long history of posting clever lines and then deleting them. He lacks confidence in his own talents.mookiemcgee wrote:Also... Maybe hitred was onto something. Saxi and the rest of this site pretends his 4.2 rating is good when in reality, it's just ass. You're all in on it! Wake up!

Interesting article, towards the end it mentions there was actually 22 people on board, and 15 were rescued with 6 dead (and i guess 1 unaccounted for?). The captain survived and is being interviewed...
I guess in my head I imagined like a handful of people on board and they all died so we will get no answers which plays perfectly into conspiracy territory but this is a little bit of a tougher situation for that

My working theory is that he faked it.mookiemcgee wrote: There is a good material here, but like what exactly is the theory? He knew too much, deep state killed him? Yeah, the bulk of his money will be lost to the lawyers and the taxman. But it only takes a few million to retire in comfort. Out of the billions, if he only managed to hide say, a quarter of one percent, that's still 50 million. Enough to buy, for instance, one of the smaller islands in the Grenadines group and every single thing on the island, and live like a king for the rest of his life.Dukasaur wrote:Let me predict now that when his "body" is found, there will be room for error in the identification.

They are now saying they found his body, only his daughter is now missing.

People were playing him just to give him a bad rating as I recall.

Re: New conspiracy theories
Why do you think Mike's death is connected to his old HP deal and the UK lawsuit, especially since he avoided jail time in the US? Could it be more about his co-defendant's death or something else entirely?mookiemcgee wrote:So I'm all for good theory, but the theory element seems to be lacking here.Dukasaur wrote:Does anyone find it a wee bit suspicious that Mike Lynch (recently exposed for conning Hewlett-Packard into buying his essentially worthless tech company for $11 billion) goes "missing" in a shipwreck?

They seem to have settled with a VPN that generates a French flag for now. I can't remember the others. My current favorite post was asking about computer games. No one suggested that was a feature here.
