I have decided I like Max to go over despite what Rag says. He's right, we can't take any defense or push on him as info because there's no posts of his to attack or defend. Chance that a townie defends town!Max because he's low hanging fruit is as high as a scummie thinking it might get him good boy points. Chance that someone defends scum!Max is also very justifiable because anyone can hide behind the "well there was exactly a random chance that he was scum given that he didnt give us anything".

That being said, I also dont want to get into an endgame where we have to rely on Max to vote correctly or do something. Imagine worst case scenario: overnight both scums kill townies, and we lynched a townie in Max. Is this really worse than being in the same scenario with a townie in Max? We will have this same debate again on whether Max is allowed to live another day.

Town gets a couple lynches this game, I didnt check the previous games but after 2 nights theres likely 4 nightkills UNLESS one scum party gets wiped out n1. Imo a Max lynch satisfies the "always lynch" crowd despite it being a meh lynch as well as a "no lynch" crowd because they also dont want to ask themselves the same questions tomorrow.

Yes. I believe you are aligned and know it which is evidence against you being vanilla town who would be aligned but not know it. It doesn't rule out Masons but there are 2 wolves and 2 mafia vs 2 masons who know they are masons so the odds are better for scum. That's the very point I was making that you glossed over there, Son!c. As for "fishing for masons", the possibility that you were masons was the only reason I hesitated to point out how closely Pepe was specifically following you early in the day. Day chat doesn't guarantee cooperation. Messages can go unread until too late, theyre can be miscommunications even between two native speakers and there can be disagreement. It feels like a lot of absolute statements are being made here that I really don't feel like any town player at this stage should be able to make with conviction. I would agree on Pepe seeming very easily swayed/eager to please, but I don't think that requires a sonic/pepe pair just because he's been the one pepe has generally followed so far? Not hard for a scum player to just try to echo a (potential) town player in hopes of blending in/getting them on their side, fusi was doing that a lot last game.

I will also say that DDS and strike have also been largely similarly aligned, but I honestly haven't really had any huge issues with any one thing they've said or issues with their reasoning thus far. It is potentially worth noting though that while DDS seems to have diverged a bit here from strike, calling it "a bit of a reach", he still does effectively end up supporting the same overarching point/theory anyway. Not making a ton out of that right now, especially given I just pretty much agreed with DDS as well, but wanted to make a note of that.

I was posting a hypothetical scenario where if I was scum I wouldn't make this case but rather kill you at night and then Pepe if you flipped Mason. You should know it, I put it right in the post that youre quoting. And yes, I would kill the second Mason in the scenario where I am scum. Two masons would be a threat. Scum wants as much division in the game as possible. Unaligned town can provide that. The other scum team while risky to keep in the game certainly can help provide that. Two masons who can verify each other to the remaining town does the opposite of that. It's admittedly a bit awkwardly worded as I initially wrote something along the lines of if you had flipped scum or Mason I'd kill pepe the following night but realized that killing Pepe in the second scenario is a bit more circumstantial and I'd be more likely pushing for his lynch during the day and then hopefully not have to consider whether he's the best kill target that night or not.

As far as letting myself be lynched in exchange for Son!c being lynched. I've been pretty open on the record saying that I dont think town should just sit back and let themselves be lynched. Son!c should know this. I said it as recently as the Matrix game which I know he's read. So for him to know it and paint me declining as proof that I'm scum if I don't accept is disingenuous. Furthermore to accept this deal, I would have to feel pretty confident that A. You are scum and B. The rest of town would actually follow through and lynch you the next day. I dont feel 100% confident about either of those.
