I'm still waiting to play my first Battle Royale.denominator wrote:I've stayed optimistic about this site and the dwindling population but that's quickly waning.
Not that the Battle Royale games are a strong indicator since I don't think many people see them as prestige games or anything, but they're simply not filling. It's a really bad sign that I can only join a BR every 30 days but I'm currently waiting for both to fill so can't join another one. Pretty dismal that the sequential version has not filled in 75+ days and the freestyle hasn't filled in 45+ days. I've been eligible to join a BR game for over two weeks but can't because they simply don't regenerate fast enough.
Idea: Bring back the Draft! ...and no I'm not sure who should be drafted (Premium/Freemium/Both?, Acive/Inactive?) ,but even if they suicide/deadbeat at leas the game would go.
Who know? Some might truly rise to the challenge when called to serve.
I was thinking of adding this idea to the Suggestions forum, but it is admittedly off-the-wall... so I'll just toss it out here and see if anyone goes with it.

The original draft of stars in Inventory was like genius made it. And then the stars are used for bigger prizes, so-called investing in conquer club stock market.Votanic wrote:I'm still waiting to play my first Battle Royale.denominator wrote:I've stayed optimistic about this site and the dwindling population but that's quickly waning.

bigWham gave up from this idea as membership was declining but in last few days the nembership has been increased for 28 players, thus I believe it will continue growing.
I truly hope bigWham will someday revive his initial business idea draft, where inventory stars are used for investments on the Conquer Club stock market.

Oct/Nov is typical low point for the site membership so this is likely the low point of the year. Numbers should rebound a little moving forward thru holidays.

What s that, an increase of 49 members in one hour? Miraclehopalong wrote:3,969 - here we cum!IcePack wrote:Oct/Nov is typical low point for the site membership so this is likely the low point of the year. Numbers should rebound a little moving forward thru holidays.

It looks like 3.119 to me. Does it read differently based on time zone?josko.ri wrote:What s that, an increase of 49 members in one hour? Re: CC is declining again!
I've been on here for less than two years, which I guess still makes me kind of a rookie. I never saw CC when there was more than 10,000 players. Coming with that newer perspective on it, I do wish there were generally more players. I wish there were more choices on the tournaments, especially smaller sized tournaments and that creating tournaments was super easy. I think tournaments on smaller maps like Luxembourg, San Marino, etc. with just 8 or 16 or 32 players in knock-out rounds through a bracket, like March Madness, would be cool. I play the 16-player one-on-one bot tournaments sometimes not because they're all that great, but mostly because they're of manageable size and won't last forever and I might at least have some shot at winning.
Probably another round of new maps getting created would help too, looks like it has been awhile since new maps were a big thing here.
Fixing the sometimes ridiculous shitty drops and dice bad runs would also help.
Oh, and a final thought, getting rid of that stupid chat on the main page might help a little with retention. I figured out awhile ago how to get that thing off my Central Command page and it's the best move I ever made. Seemed like just a cesspool of nonsense and political bullshit - no thanks on that.

Re: CC is declining again!
I always think the homepage is a bit crappy. There's a .gif doing its thing with poorly-scaled images from a couple of maps and an overall sense of overwhelmingness (wat) with all the different things happening, which might turn a few potential new players away.

Having been back for just a bit, the in game tools are a little bit better than what they used to be. The number of maps can be overwhelming. I could of swore there was a project to put them in categories or Small Medium Large, Beginner, Intermediate, Advanced etc.

There is a restriction on maps when you 1st join, I think its 80-90 maps for the first few games before the others become available..jpcloet wrote:Having been back for just a bit, the in game tools are a little bit better than what they used to be. the bigger and more complex maps are removed until they are no longer listed as new recruits
