You guys are figuring out cryptograms and secret spy messages and shit. I think I'm out of my league. I need to get out of here and go back to robbing old ladies in subways where it's safe. If it wasn't for this damn poison lake, I would.

I guess a 100% of people you ask, will tell you they are town, and cases more dificults you quickly believe itjoshzam wrote: We don't know the portion of Mafia alive. It's not always obvious or the same. Also, it's very rare (in most games) that Town has a kill ability. If they do, they can probably only use it once. Town's strength is their vote to lynch and their ability to share information.
Are you Town, Pepe? Can you kill? If not, why do we need you?
, so YES I am town.joshzam wrote:I'd also like to state that I believe fusibaseball's claim of being Town and having killed Loose Canon on N1. I haven't seen any reason not to believe him even if some have FoSsed him for it.
About kill, I can say: "There are lot of ways to kill, doing o no doing something, but Some times a finger pointing someone can kill as much as a gun".

Some of the earliest programs I wrote were to help solve cryptograms like the kind you would find in the puzzle section of the newspaper. Re: Prison Mafia DAY 2
fusibaseball mentioned they killed Loose Cannon. I'm leaning towards that was the case. Tomorrow isn't promised and they wanted to flex their 1 kill ability based on their hunch, which is fine, I won't hold it against fusi. I imagine the confession would have been held back had fusi been a townie. 3rd party profile would have been harder to target and they landed somewhere in the middle with the kill, he's doing a victory lap.
The I-andrei and halrob64 saga continues. I voted halrob64 on Day 1 as he wasn't make sense and seemed to be backtracking heavily. But he's the only one putting any sort of pressure on seasoned players. Could be wild finger pointing, but he had nothing else to lose, so there could be some legitimacy in there. i-andrei I feel has an upper-tier power role of some sort, not sure which side he's on but no reason to not believe he's town at this point. I'm not fully convinced of the halrob64 vote at this point, I'm going to withhold voting to see if any other revelation comes up, we have some days left until night time. halrob64 should start talking quickly though, about anything! His role, if it does blossom on night 2, my bet is it's a pyro or fuse setting role, can't remember the role specifically but they can prime a kill on night 1 and execute on night 2 (lighter fluid -> Match). DID ANYONE GET ANY INDICATION THEY WERE "PRIMED" NIGHT 1?

@halrob64 - I'm hopefully buying you some time, the walls are closing in buddy and you should just be throwing haymakers at this point. Name names, put it all out there. You noted "Well I know that 2 people who want to lynch me a are Mafia". Just go rogue and start spilling what you know clearly.
The mod makes lots of references in their posts about the obvious is right in front of us. To me, it's either a dunk90 or halrob64 reference as they were the only ones truly in the crosshairs. What's left of the heat on Dunk90 I think is misguided "I didn't know that meant mafia at that time. I admit, it does looks suspicious. But I assure you, I'm not a mafia member. I wouldn't be that stupid if I was. But I am definitely scum. I got 15 years for arson. If I'm not considered scum, I don't know who is". I always saw this comment as a poor choice of words, everyone is in here for a crime. I think he was just referencing his crime. I just feel the early rush on Dunk was misplaced.
PepeAtila, everyone can understand your posts, no need to apologize. However one of the messages someone shared had poor writing, broken english almost. I can't find it at the moment but I remember that sticking out to me. I think the note sender mentioned they are Mafia. I don't have much of a conclusion on Pepe due to lack of posts.
@Pepe what are your thoughts on the state of the game ? Pepe is also not adjusting his vote for Dunk90, which is a spoiled ballot at this point. Maybe they are both benefiting from a relationship?

Re: Prison Mafia DAY 2
@Dunk90 - You said you were gathering evidence on *Pixar*, do you have anything to share?
I conclude the "General Bax and cdbridges" was just that they didn't get their night actions in, like others mentioned.
I feel joshzam is Town, he's just been too helpful and went deep on analysis that I don't think Mafia member would benefit from doing such analysis.
actorday hasn't said dick all, that usually leads me to think Mafia. Would like to hear your thoughts on things. Not sure if anyone noticed but actorday posted on Raz's wall what I believe should have been a private message "Message one. Dunk 90 seems to be tryin to hard but he looks guilty as sin!!! He need a good lynching!!!" . Concluding they may be the secret message sender, if they did successfully send this message no one shared it. Or it was just "lost in the mail" by posting it on the wall, trying to move the Dunk vote Day1. Not ground breaking but I feel it should be explained.
The number note that seemingly points to Darin44, I don't know what to make of that. I didn't have much info on Darin to make a conclusion. He only posted on Day2 "WOW!!!" to someone elses lengthy conclusion and voted halron. Looking through the posts he contributed little, voted no lynch D1 quickly, flipped vote to halrob64 without explanation when a vote victory was almost there. Recent post "I don't even know what to say. How did my name come up in all this. where are you getting your info. do you know something we don't know" seems panicky, demanding info without contributing anything of value the whole game it seems. I don't know the whole "say nothing and vote with the masses" is a red flag to me. @Darin44 what are your thoughts on the state of the game and can you address ?
Again this is just a brain dump, trying to contribute my thoughts. Not trying to actively alarm anyone who I named here, just my thoughts.
Overall I'll state to everyone that I don't want to leave the night to chance and I will vote to get action via lynch if my vote is neeeded. Now that it's a close vote, I see my vote as more valuable and using the opportunity to draw out more info.

Halrob64 has still been very quiet considering he's close to getting voted to be lynched. He's a little closer now. VOTE Halrob64
Re: Prison Mafia DAY 2
Normally, I might unvote to give halrob a chance to save himself, but he's logged in at least 3 times since yesterday, and doesn't seem to want to say anything.
Looks like it will be up to cdbridges, Dukasaur, General Bax, joshzam, or TheJMac to decide if he's lynched. (or PepeAtila if he wants to change his vote)
If anyone has anything important to discuss today, they should get it out there.

Pixar hasn't said a whole lot since his first and VERY misguided accusation against me. No one else is pointing the finger at him and he hasn't drawn any other suspicions besides that. But I am definitely watching him. He doesn't appear very often. I'm thinking he has some kind of 3rd party role. I have no evidence of that. I am very sorry, but I cannot change my vote. The fact of existing a 3rd party looks like is bluring the map, however for me it is easier to see what people are in the same team, I don't know if there are mafia or 3rd team. For me it is almost clear harold is not in any team.degaston wrote:Normally, I might unvote to give halrob a chance to save himself, but he's logged in at least 3 times since yesterday, and doesn't seem to want to say anything.

I was going to demmand him explanations 'tomorrow', but I guess I had to say it 'today' because the 3/4 fingers are pointing me.

Re: Prison Mafia DAY 2
I'm reading and will post. Doing it while working, so it will take some time.

Re: Prison Mafia DAY 2
Rough weekend...I'm caught up now. Nothing has happened.
I need to address a few things going on at the moment:
1) I don't like spending too much time on messages, codes, or what not. While others like that stuff and think that helps us, I like to read what people say, whom they vote for, and in general gauge people. Similarly, I don't think breaking codes or the likes is an inherent town tell. It can also be used to mud the waters. And scum can look busy trying to help town by "being the code breaker". However, I only see Josh and Degaston being really invested in the code thingie, and I don't really think they're non-town (based on their input so far).
2) The meow thing/silenced thing: Some players are silenced and we can't know who/what silenced them (or if it's a coordinated effort on their part), but I also think that it's a useless discussion. If we learn something about the business, we can address it, but everything is conjecture at this stage, so I think it's best left alone till we can actually discuss it on an informed level.
3) I like the following players thus far in the game:
Degaston - has been very active trying to get to the bottom of this and more or less caught halrob in halrob's own web. If lynched, Halrob's flip will say a lot about Degaston IMO.
i-andrei - I don't know if he has been as instrumental in trying to investigate, but if halrob flips non-town, I think i-andrei gains town credit.
fusibaseball - summed up my thoughts on Halrob quite neatly at the beginning of D2 and claims, non-counterclaimed, that he is responsible for bringing down the serial killer. That's nice.
Joshzam - he hasn't voted yet, but I read him as balanced in his reasoning (even if he's onto a code thingie that I don't find material in winning for town).
I'm wary of the following
Pixar - I didn't like the vote on Dunk. It just rubs me the wrong way...
Pepe - one thing is to ignore my question and then answer when someone else asks the same...that just hurts my feelings
No, it's the vote on Dunk I don't like (just like I didn't like Pix voting Dunk).
I have no clue about almost everyone else. Either because they haven't posted much or they haven't posted anything other than, "I'm following the game."
I think we need a lynch today. It will help us start building an understanding of alignments. Halrob doesn't seem to want to defend himself (or something is going on that's beyond me).
Yes, joke. I don't know what it means in your message. I send neither soap nor messages (not even mental ones).joshzam wrote:These are the people who joked about the prison soap on D1 (in order): Ragian, Pepe, traffic, degaston. Re: Prison Mafia DAY 2
For the record, I have stated that I don't think the codes will be important for this game, especially if they are being sent by Mafia. I received a code and I shared it. I'm certainly not obsessing over it nor do I think we should.

All good points, thanks for checking me. You are right being primed night1-2 doesn't make much sense now that pyro is gone .
Re: Prison Mafia DAY 2
Messages are most probably coming from both a Town Agent and a Mafia Spy. The Agent should be using their messages to either clear themselves or others and the Spy will be trying to confuse the situation. Since no one has tried to claim Agent, I'm guessing it's a noob who doesn't know how to correctly use their powers to scumhunt.degaston wrote:The posts say that they're coming from someone down the cell block, so I think that these are just messages from a player being broadcast by Razor. cdbridges has soft-claimed Defense Attorney, in which case this role does not have any night actions. So, maybe General Bax and cdbridges were called out by the Mod at start of D2 because they simply don't have night actions. General Bax could confirm this, but he claims to have CHOSEN to not perform a night action without providing further details. He was quoted as saying, "the information i learned last night is already out in the thread", which did not help Town at all.
