Yeah. If we're talking about fairness, I don't think it'd be fair to clans who are in the second division to put S&M in there. We're back at full strength after last winter's events. People would be mad at us. We're a first division level clan. Always have been.

LHDD was in SD a few years ago. last CL caff remade his clan so it could restart in SD. There are always clans that are obviously PD clans in SD.

Scott knows this, he just doesn't care because he isn't in a clan that has to deal with PD beating them up every CL leaving no hope for any kind of victory.

Awol is a legit clan…neck and neck against ATL that beat LHDD…you left ATL to join tofu? Going to stick with the small guy here…but maybe bigger e-peen guy who knows?
Again from previous thought if S&M is in secondary division ;)
I would agree that division 1-2 has no real competitive differential honestly with a motivated S&M and competitive d2

Ya, I agree, mostly at least, which is why having only two divisions would suck for clans who are nowhere close to that level. 3 is ideal as it splits the groups well. Clans like LION, AWOL, REP, LOW are going to have to fight hard to get to the top of SD and earn their way into PD. That battle will only improve those clans and put you in the best chance to compete with the PD clans, which are a step above, even if it is a smaller step then between SD and TD. TD clans will also have the chance to face competition at their level, letting them improve and taste victory, something they haven't had the chance to do in events outside of the invitational cup 1 and 2.

As for me, I left ATL and the site. I didn't leave ATL to join anyone. When I returned to the site I had a number of clans interested in me, including yours, I picked TOFU, sorry if that upset you.

lmao what

the biggest internal argument we had for not remaking was because we would have to play SD again when we wanted to play PD

in hindsight we should've stuck with ICON but we're beyond that now

Agree with caf 100%
You left a top tier clan for another?
So awol, lion, S&M, vs ATL, tofu, LHDD ;)
This is my issue

Sign-ups are officially closed.
We have 17 clans for CL14!

Returning from CL13(listed in priority order) :

TOFU
A^
LHDD
FALL
ATL
S&M
REP
AWOL
LOW
RET
DBD
RGV
GON
KNT
New Participants:
LION
FOED
AFOS

17 Clans means we will have 3 divisions: Premier, Second and Third.
There will be 6 clans in Premier and Second divisions and 5 in Third division.

Premier Division will be made up of the top 6 in the Priority order:
TOFU
A^
LHDD
FALL
ATL
S&M

We have 1 new Participant that Qualifies to begin in Second Division, LION.
Spoiler
A New Participant would qualify for Second Division if they were in top 9 of the 17 signed up clans in most recent Adjusted D400 score. Signed up Clans Ranked in Adjusted D400 Scores: 1 A^ 1459 2 FALL 1451 3 S&M 1312 4 LHDD 1312 5 TOFU 1306 6 REP 1282 7 ATL 1238 8 LION 1220 9 LOW 1143 10 AWOL 1121 11 FOED 1067 12 RET 1036 13 RGV 952 14 DBD 932 15 GON 896 16 AFOS 860 17 KNT 784
Therefore Second Division will be the next 5 in the Priority order and LION:
REP
AWOL
LOW
RET
DBD
LION

The Third Division will be made up of the remaining clans:
RGV
GON
KNT
FOED
AFOS

I like the three divisions because as a top clan you have an actual threat of being relegated. With 8 or 10 teams in a first division it was difficult to do.

That's what I like about it, too. Feels more challenging. The original Clan League was 15 clans in 3 divisions.

and each Division was mixed abilites drawn from a hat. If I recall correctly the group winners and runners up then formed more divisions in the 2nd phase.

(Note I’m in favor of the new rule just commenting to point this out)

I know everyone “read and understood” the rules, but I’m a little surprised that the game creation / invite / filling rule was changed and not really mentioned or highlighted.

Granted I’m not the war organizer for REP so it really doesn’t impact me, but the last however many CL’s allowed games exchanged / created by Sunday and until Thursday to invite / fill.

This CL seems to be the first that have changed the requirement to fully invited on Sunday, and there doesn’t seem to be much commentary or discussion or highlighting of the fact in the OP that there’s been a change.

Only pointing this out because I wasn’t even aware of it until I saw Groovy commentary in the CL threads that it had even changed. And again, I like the “hard sunday” rule, just a little surprised it wasn’t announced beyond changing a line that looks nearly identical to the last one but wasn’t.

Hopefully the clan contacts are better at me at catching the details  tho I was pretty swamped recently too.

Good luck everyone in the league!

We predicted this would be an issue, as even when people say they read something, it often doesn't mean they did. We sent a reminder out a few days ago and agreed to be more lax for this first round to help get people used to the new rule. In hindsight, we probably should have bolded and colored it in the OP as well.

This change is definitely something that's been a long time coming. Things were too confusing with different days for everything.

Definitely something I was fighting for when I was on the CD team, at the time I don't remember getting any support on this issue. Good move though.

The only real difficult thing for it is if you intend on inviting someone who hasn't played for 30 days, that part can be a bit tricky.

I don't really understand how it's an improvement.
Many clans sometimes have a player not taking an invite.
Are we going to give them warning because one player missed his invite ?
LHDD always create game with invite at the same time ( and I'm sure most people do the same because it's faster), but sometimes we have player missing or declining.
As heavily debated in another clan war thread, majority of people seems to think what matter is to know which maps and settings you'll have to play on away games, not which players. Enforcing this just seem an extra burden on war organizer.

It’s no different than a tournament where you get X chances to accept an invite but that first is a warning? But it’s not unlimited, but that’s why old style rules was must be joined / filled by deadline. Then it’s on you to evaluate as war organizer to make on final day and risk the invite or do a da early and meet deadline and have took yo breathe.
iAmCaffeine wrote:yeah i/we do it at the same time also because it's just more efficient but what if someone happens to miss their invite for that day

The rule just says invited right not filled? So in this case it would be fine?
