Re: 2022 Elections Thread
I saw a pail of vomit the other day. It was crying. I asked what was the matter, it said "oh, nothing. just feeling sentimental. I was brought up in these parts."

Would very much recommend keeping an eye on the Kenyan general election over the next few days. Raila Odinga is in a strong position to cause a huge upset and overhaul the decades-long status quo (read: nepotism) which has been in place since the country declared independence in the 60s.

With 1 million votes counted so far, Ruto is romping to an early lead
Re: 2022 Elections Thread
With now over 7 million votes counted, Ruto and Odinga are neck and neck

How long do they take to count votes?

Good question! There is a lot of manual counting and double-checking. By tomorrow we are hoping to have an outcome.mookiemcgee wrote:How long do they take to count votes?

And as we have come to expect from an election this close, unfounded claims of victory (from both sides) and voter fraud are rife.

Rat are hemorrhaging voters among their core constituencies.
If the Democratic Party goes under, then the UK's Conservative Party would move up one slot to become the world's oldest political party.
The Rats haven't obtained a majority of the white non-Hispanic vote since 1966! If they lose the white Hispanic vote it's game over. They can't win elections depending on the 19% of the population that are Black, Asian, and Native American. This is a party on a trajectory toward extinction. The Democratic advantage among Latino voters has shrunk by half in the past decade, according to an NBC News/Telemundo poll released Sunday.
Fifty-four percent of Latino voters surveyed said they preferred Democrats to be in charge of Congress, compared with 33 percent who would prefer Republicans. That gap — now 21 points — was a 42 point difference in October 2012, according to NBC News/Telemundo.
The poll results come after Republicans made gains with Latino voters in the 2020 election. Republicans have also put forth a slate of Latino House candidates in the upcoming midterm elections.
The question of party preference has slid fairly steadily in the past decade, with a 26-point gap in October 2020, a 34 point gap in November 2018 and a 38-point gap in October 2016.

The demise of both the Republican and Democrat political parties have been predicted before (in the past 20-30 years) and then the political pendulum swings the other way. So this prediction by saxi is not new and not likely to occur.saxitoxin wrote:Rat are hemorrhaging voters among their core constituencies.

I do think that more Hispanic voters are moving away from Democrats (by some 5% in one report I saw recently) but NOT as an entire block. That is much too simple and lacks any real analysis of the facts.

A new poll has Republican Allan Fung beating White Democrat Seth Magaziner for Rhode Island's 2nd District. The 2nd District has not been represented by a Republican in the 240 years RI has been a US state.
https://www.providencejournal.com/story ... 195896001/
White Democrat Seth Magaziner (top) is running to stop a Person of Color (below) from being elected to Congress. The White Democrat, Magaziner, is a multimillionaire venture capitalist who attended private boarding schools and whose slave-owning ancestors arrived on the Mayflower. Allan Fung is a small town mayor who was educated in public schools and is the son of Chinese immigrants.

Allan Fung makes the case against White Democrat Magaziner. Fung is the perfect candidate except for his stupid Rhode Island accent (it's pronounced paRTY not paWTY). When Fung wins, Massers like CC regular Brookline Jim will be seething. They hate Rhode Island and will hate it even more with someone other than a White Democrat in Congress!
Sexing hotties like a champ! White Democrats tried to claim Herschel Walker wasn't sexing hotties but he produced the receipts (literally) to show he was. Herschel has just proved he's a Grade A stud running against a religious zealot, Reverend Raphael (sounds like a cult leader). How's Hershel Walker doing Saxi?

Alan Fung is not a MAGA Republican… he;s your typical New England Republican (NER), which makes him Center Right, with a heavy emphasis on center… and on social issues your typical NER is moderately liberal.saxitoxin wrote:Massers like CC regular Brookline Jim will be seething. I don’t follow RI politics closely but in Mass. we often like our moderate Republicans for major offices; but we seem unable to translate that open mindedness to the Legislature.
BTW Brookline is a time little ultra-rich insular place.
I can get dressed up and pretend to fit in in Brookline… but it’s not my ‘place’.
Trying to associate me with Brookline implies a political view that’s not born out by my comments here.

Re: 2022 Elections Thread
Arizona gubernatorial candidate (rat) Katie Hobbs was surprised by RC Maxwell who wanted to ask why she wouldn't debate Republican opponent Karie Lake and why her staff carried unlicensed AR15s despite favoring gun control. She ran and hid in a bathroom and then called a staff member to come rescue her, but the staff member also had to hide in the bathroom. It gets more hilarious from there ...

Re: 2022 Elections Thread
The party of Big Liars still denies they got the White majority in 1966 by totally reversing their principles to appeal to the racist White Southerners and the resentful whining racists who now completely control the party.
Just ask the Cheney's and the former principled conservative Republicans who form the Never Trumpers.
Meanwhile, the rising non-White population has learned to never vote Republican. The Republican response is to become more blatant in their election manipulations and denial of the right to vote.
They were already the party of constant lies and it has just gotten out of control the last decade until you have the Big Lie Troll King Trump, a reality TV promoter and bankruptcy jerk off.

The fact that Herschel Walker - a guy who thinks the plastic toy police badge he has means he's an undercover detective - is within 2 points in polling against Warnock, frankly says more about the state of the Democratic Party than anything else.
