Anyways.... I see it quite straight forward and I think it was genuine... otherwise will smith is a far better actor than I ever thought he is.
I'm curious to hear if people think it was staged, and what details make them feel that way?

I don't think it was staged.. I did at first watching it live, but after watching it back a few times and seeing the uncensored version that was just an open palmed bitch slap (like Saxi used to do to mrsdyk when his bottom bitch got out of line)

I'm pretty sure Will Smith has internally tied his 'success as a man and father' to making things work with Jada. And since she's nuttier than hitred at a 'Gold and Guns for God' swapmeet, Will finds himself doing things that might be considered out of character to try to keep her happy.
