But Venezuela is also fully sanctioned by the U.S. What's even funnier is that Biden is NOT negotiating with Juan Guaido -- the IMF darling whom he recognizes as president of Venezuela -- but with Nicolas Maduro whom he does not recognize as president.

Meanwhile, after Visa announced it would block transactions in Russia, Russian banks unveiled they had just signed with China's UnitedPay for card transaction servicing. Meaning, to Visa's horror, they did not just lose access to a market of 150 million people for a year or two but permanently.

And, to cap it all off, Russia has announced it will repay all its debts in rubles instead of dollars which will be worthless to the creditors as ruble transactions have been banned.

And this is all just the tip of the iceberg.

Sergey Kozlov, prime minister of the Lugansk People's Republic, today announced that all Ukrainian military forces been successfully expelled from Lugansk territory and Lugansk is now 100% Nazi-free. Meanwhile, every single oblast east of the Dnieper is either fully or partially occupied by the Russian Army. And the land bridge connecting the Donbas to Transnistria is almost complete.

Russia has also announced it has reached agreement and is considering diverting LNG shipments to China from Europe. The Germans can think of Biden as they're freezing. And the American markets are in free fall with the Dow Jones about to erase gains it's made since the pandemic. There may not be a Democratic Party left to contest the 24 election.

Stocks fall again as Ukraine worries weigh on investors

US stocks ended Monday lower as investors continued to monitor the military conflict between Russia and Ukraine. It was the worst day of the year for the Dow and S&P 500.

The Nasdaq is now in a bear market as tech stocks were crushed. Energy stocks and utilities were among the few winners following a big spike in crude oil and gas prices. Several defense stocks hit new all-time highs as well.

Bed Bath & Beyond (BBBY) surged after Ryan Cohen, the Chewy (CHWY) co-founder who is trying to turn around GameStop (GME), disclosed he purchased a big stake.

The Dow closed down 2.4%, or about 797 points.
The S&P 500 fell 3%.
The Nasdaq Composite plunged 3.6%.

Ukraine will surrender in a week at most. Everyone buying into all the western war propaganda ("the Ghost of Kiev!" etc) are going to be asking what happened by next weekend.

Nine days after Saxi's prediction, Ukraine has not fallen. Its resistance has been surprisingly stiff.

Most experts still expect Ukraine to eventually fall. It is a regional power at best, while Russia is a superpower. Nonetheless, Putin has already lost his gamble. His hopes were pinned on a swift collapse of Ukrainian morale, which has not happened. When he does, eventually, destroy Ukraine's conventional forces, he will be facing years of guerrilla warfare and multiple insurgencies.

Either he withdraws and tries to negotiate a face-saving peace, or he has just put Russia into a quagmire which will make Afghanistan seem like a garden party.

If Ukraine have big defensive advantage how come that Russian stil advancing??? I hope that these will not be same like Afganistan Scenario where Afghan Army had 350000 soldiers (not counting police) against Taliban 60000 ,,, plus Afgan army had modern equipment and still they collapsed so fast, so that US military also catch surprised with these disaster.

The Afghan government was a puppet regime with no organic support. Once its masters cast it aside, it had nothing to prop it up.

The Ukrainian government is a legitimate elected regime with strong popular support. Such government tend to grow stronger instead of weaker as they are pushed back.

Russia is a superpower and will eventually win this war, but at enormous cost.
