How can you say you will likely deadbeat then accuse the person you warned of deliberate deadbeating?? This makes no sense at all, did you type this all out on the wrong account?

Yeah, I'd be careful. I got banned for saying I was going to deadbeat. Kind of like that movie where they arrest you for thinking things, with Tom Cruise where he gets an eye transplant at the dirtiest black market operating room imaginable. No way he didn't get an infection from that place.

It seems that the original poster should be in line for a warning about deadbeating and possibly for a spurious report.

How can it be both spurious and something worthy of a warning? lol

My original comment around deadbeating related to the fact that my pet rabbit is extremely ill and had been getting worse. I just wanted to forewarn that I may end up deadbeating, because obviously I'd have other things on my mind if the worst were to happen, and this way my opponent could plan accordingly and finish the game fast.

And to the person claiming "general butt hurt loserisheness" - this is only relevant if I had lost, which I didn't :-^

Here is a legitimate question. Is it ok to lie in chat? It has been said before that in a fog game for example you can give up another players location.while it may be an unsportsmanlike like thing to do. and you may get foed,It is not illegal. One could also lie about another players location in a fog game just to throw someone off.So my understanding is that as long as i'm not being racist or otherwise hurtful to someone, based on a set of rules, then i can pretty much say what i want about my strategy whether or not it's true.We even have what seems to be a very liberal policy on swearing.I know that I have used some pretty foul language and have also been called some horrid names. All in the fun of the game, within a set of understood rules. Therefore it seems to me that this whole conversation ,notwithstanding the argument over the definition of the word spurious , Is a moot point. At least it was at the time of the original post.at that point nobody had even missed a turn.It does however beg a larger conversation on the definition of deadbeating and the three missed turns in a row rule.too large of a conversation to be had here and i'm sure its been talked about plenty before. In a nutshell i find it ridiculous that you can miss two turns in a row as many times as you want, and be let back into the game and get all your missed troops.any more that two misses total and you should be out. with the possible exception of very long games.

I am closing this report.
At Tom51, next time please wait with filing a complaint like this until an actual turn is missed.
