Greetings! I have seen quite a few interesting tournaments around and I would like to do something a little bit more interesting, however, this time in a single map.
This tournament will be played solely on the New World map.
It will consist of 18 players, divided along 6 divisions: Europe, North America, South America + Caribbean.
Every player must choose one nation to represent (red means the nation is already taken).
Europe: Portugal, Spain, France, Britain, Holland, Norway (I had to add a couple of nations from outside the map in order to reach 18 in total);
North America: Inuit, Comanche, Aztec, Thirteen Colonies, New France, Vinland;
South America + Caribbean: Brazil, Mapuche, New Holland, Cuba, Jamaica, Santo Domingo.
Tournament structure
Week 1-5: The divisions will be ignored and the players will play five rounds in Swiss format (explanation below). Each round consists of three matches, therefore the results can only be 3-0, 2-1, 1-2, or 0-3.
Week 6-10: Points from the five first weeks carry on to this stage of the tournament. Now the players will only play against their own division opponents. Each round consists of three matches as well;
Post-season Playoff: Wildcard Round 1, Wildcard Round 2, Semi Finals, Final. Winner of each division qualify directly for the Semis; the 2nd placed in each division + the next best player of the overall table qualifiy for the Wildcard round 1. The two winners of the Wildcard Round 1 advance for the Wilcard Round 2. The remaining player advances to the Semis where he will face one of the divisional winners. Every match in the Post-Season Playoff is composed of 7 games, NBA-style.
Swiss rounds explanation

There are several variations in Swiss-style tournaments. The variation I will use is a very simple one. In the first round, players are randomly seeded. The two possible results are 3-0 or 2-1, therefore, who wins 3-0 gets 3 points, who wins 2-1 gets 2 points, who loses 2-1 gets 1 point, and who loses 3-0 gets 0 points. For the 2nd, 3rd, 4th, and 5th rounds, the 1st placed player will play 2nd placed player, 3rd-4th, 5th-6th, 7th-8th, and so on. However, games cannot be repeated in Swiss rounds. If in the 4th round the 1st placed player already played the 2nd placed player, they will be matched with the 3rd placed.

Imagine that after the first round Player A, B, and C have 3 points, and player D, E, and F have 2 points. The second round will have the following games: Player A Vs Player B, Player C Vs Player D, and Player E Vs Player F.

Seeding
Week 1 round will be randomly seeded with Random.org and Week 6-10 rounds will be randomly seeded with leaguelobster.com. Post-season Wildcard 1st Round and the Semi Finals will also be randomly seeded using Random.org.
The invitations for the new rounds will be sent every Sunday (GMT+1, so some people may receieve their invitations on Friday or Sunday). If you miss one invitation, I will send another. Then, another. If, after 3 invites someone does not join a game, they will be kicked out of the league and all other players win by default their games against them 3-0 (even if they already played before). However, If a game lasts more than one week, no worries. You can join later if you are not premium and you have no slots left. I just ask you to have at lest 3 slots open for this tournament, minimum (if you qualify for the post-season, no worries, as long as you leave the 3 slots, the rest of the games can be arranged at a later date).
Post-Season games will be played when all players are ready, no need to play them at a weekly rate.
Tie-breakers
If there are two players tied for a qualifying spot, place at the end of the 10 rounds, a tiebreaker game will be played. If more than two players are tied for that spot, the winner gets the higher place, the last to lose will get the second highest, and so on.

It is all good, unfortunately, Britain is already taken. If any non-european works for you can it be a native north or south American nation (Comanches, Incas, etc.)?
