It’s perfectly reasonable to want to wait a bit and see if a larger population has any serious negative results.

I am not in any higher risk group so I won’t have access to the vaccine till April? (who knows exactly). So to me I’m happy to chill and let the process play out and see what the data says in 3-6 months. By then we’ll know which vaccine is most effective, which is safest and/or has few at side effects, etc.

4 out of 30,000... only 3 of which got the vaccine.
So one of the four people who contracted Bell’s Palsy got placebo.

While there was a small imbalance of cases in the vaccine group compared with the placebo, the FDA said it’s not certain whether the drug contributed to the paralysis “because the number of cases was small and not more frequent than expected in the general population.”

3/15,000 = 0.02%

(15,000 assume half got vaccine and half got placebo... if you use 30,000 it’s an even lower number.)
