EMERGENCY, technical help immediately needed!

I can't log in with Firefox, writing from Chrome now. I have to play (now!) a very long and complicate move (to eliminate everybody in a foggy terminator game) and afraid to try that from Chrome. (Don't remember the problems I had in Chrome, but I certainly had unpleasant problems. Remember that.)

Please don't tell me "clear the history", that's out of the question. I need to delete CC cookies. How to find 'em and recognize 'em?

How the problem manifests itself? I click the LOGIN button, but Firefox refreshes and gives me the same screen again. Maybe restarting computer will solve the problem, but every minute is important, so I am writing the post first...
If the problem solves itself, I'll be happy to apology for making unnecessary panic.

Of course. And I'm always redirected to the page from the link above. The one where you have LOGIN WITH EXISTING ACCOUNT on the left side and REGISTER NEW ACCOUNT on the right side.
That's OK in itself. But when I click LOGIN, I get the same page refreshed.

Is there a reason you do not want to delete all your cookies?

What OS and version Firefox are you running?
any 3rd party scripts?

To clear cookies from Conquerclub, (because it will vary from OS and firefox version) generalised instructions can be found here https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/cl ... ta-firefox
Enter your OS and browser details in the tab on the right and then scroll down to "Clear cookies for any website"

In FF, go to Preferences --> Privacy and Security -->

Scroll down until you see "Cookies and Site Data"
Select "Manage Data" (give it a second to load as it might be greyed out at first)
Type in Conquerclub in the search website field
Select "Remove all shown" and then
"Save Changes"

Quit out of Firefox completely and restart it to ensure removal of cookies.


That's how you delete cookies for a specific website in Firefox.

Thanks everybody, lot of stuff that I will check. However, this time I solved the problem directly - by removing a cause . But I had too much pressure in the games and didn't manage to write a post...

Problem is - I don't know English phrases for some common things. You know when light bulb aggressively dies... My computer has been shut down. I had to enter the date in CMOS and erred - entered 31st instead of 30th. Firefox didn't let me to log in, because of tomorrow's date. Thanks God, Chrome was more tolerant - otherwise I'd miss many moves...

So it IS something on CC side - it's the only site where I was prevented from logging in.

It might have been because there are some complicated layers to being logged in here. Using safari, there are portions of the site such as forums that keep me logged in for a long time so I don't need to keep entering a password just to post in the forums.

Then there is a layer that times out much faster to help prevent someone opening up a game while I am out of the room and playing my turns.

Looks to me like something intended to protect game play, was not allowing you to enter the game, because it was receiving information telling the site or Firefox you were attempting to use a permission code from the day before, caused in part by your computer being set to the next day.

Logging in gets further complicated by the site having to co-operate with many different browsers.

It honestly just sounds like a cookie issue in your browser. That's why clearing cookies for CC, then quitting the browser completely should solve the issue. If you clear cookies and go back to the site without first closing the browser, the problem can persist.

If it was an issue on CC's side, we'd all have that same problem using FF.
