Secret Diplomacy in 19956299

Post by General Quigley »

Accused:

[player]Chariot of Fire[/player]
[player]lagavroche[/player]

The accused are suspected of:

Conducting Secret Diplomacy

Other: My evidence is the following game transmissions by Chariot of Fire:
Here is the solicitation to secret diplomacy.
2020-08-27 10:28:06 - Chariot of Fire: Allez Gavroche!
2020-09-01 15:33:46 - Chariot of Fire: pity gavroche, we were working so well together
Here is the evidence it was accepted.
2020-09-04 17:03:51 - Chariot of Fire: gavroche...you want to take on green? I will assist you and at same time I will break pink and keep him to a deploy of 3 and completely useless in this game. And if we focus on green you can win the game, my gift to you
2020-09-04 17:04:25 - Chariot of Fire: coz I just don't want pink or green to win
2020-09-09 07:39:26 - Chariot of Fire: >gavroche. Are you in catering? And I see you're in Far East. I lived in HK & Macau for 36 years. Had a restaurant in HK and a food biz in Macau. Moved back to UK this year
2020-09-10 16:02:12 - Chariot of Fire: Only thanks to lagavroche wall posting me did I receive notice to catch my turn.

Game number(s):
Game 19956299

Comments: If you check the history of their wall postings and PMs to each other exclusively, I feel reasonably certain there will be ample evidence of collusion.

I am glad this is my last CC game. This cheating collusion between two high rated players to protect their inflated ratings by factors other than skill is all too typical at CC and a big part of why I don't care to waste any more money on CC membership. There is no room left for ethical play.

One of the two accuseds,

Chariot of fire is well known, one of hall of fames through CC, not only as a player and a strategic mind but also a very dedicated clan organizator of one of the top clans in cc almost a decade now to define a very eligible and compherensive mind over book of game rules for CC.
I m sure the latter player, he is another reputable face, whom i do not know, then i can not speak on behalf.

I am not a judge or jury here, on the other hand chariot of fire (cof), he is so unlikely to condescend over 5-10 points more or less points he might lose...
We are speaking of a game with 57 rounds, and any game where a secret diplomacy would take place could not take that long, certainly.
Lines in the OP are from game chat, secret diplomacy does not take place in game chat.

What and how i see from my exprience, a stalemate situation is on the go, we have got a game which takes too long and is unlikely to come to an end...
At this point, players, especially high skilled players may like to reward certain moves and strategies of players and may reprove players whom they did not like their acts/strategies/moves...

Someone may correct me if i am wrong,
once and for all,
CC does not consider it as a violation of game rules for players in games with certain stalemate situations to pick over low rankers to save some of their points, yet this is unlikely to be the case for Cof imo sincerely.

Sorry for the unpleasing taste the game left for you, CC has a lot of different aspects, players may easily avoid from this kind of conflitcs, missunderstandings...

Peace

Unfortunately not. The guy is unstable. Thanks HA for your post :D

There's no secret diplomacy at all. All lagavroche did was wall post me a link to the game as I'd missed turns.

The secret diplomacy did not take place until late in the game. I'd also encourage you to go to the game and read your model-of-good-behavior's posts. I recommend a time out for the brat. LOL.

He admitted to the wall post. Isn't that secret enough? Are YOU okay with all your opponents communicating to each other about underway games via individual wall posts? Do YOU want the responsibility of having to go check all of your opponents' walls every day? I also suspect there were further communications than just that one wall post admitted to -- they have been acting in a coordinated fashion -- and request that an admin look into it please.

Well, here's the thing. There's nothing secret going on - it's all in the chat. Also in the chat is you game throwing.

2020-09-09 16:03:13 - General Quigley: Yellow has pissed me off for saying he was quitting, taking 24 hours twice and then not quitting. I will no longer break silver like I did last round. Directing all fire on yellow to give silver the win.

Now, I actually don't think it is however I had a bullshit game throwing complaint filed against me for exactly this kind of thing and was subsequently warned. I expect this won't turn out as you hope...

This says everything anyone needs to know about you. Hopefully you receive a warning for both time-wasting and game throwing.

No secret diplomacy, but throwing a game for sure.

Not sure why you would join a game like that if you are going to throw it away in the early state of the logical outcome, i.e. the stalemate.

Still, even if throwing a game is against the rules I do not think punishable if it occures once. So foe and move on.

I'm looking real hard but not seeing any secret diplomacy at all

A wall link directing somebody to a game is not secret diplomacy

Oh butt shot, you're still ticked I beat you like you beat your wife. I know you want me to go away; it's because you gave me so many rating points and fear giving me more.

Lmao. I believe you lost both games I played with you. One to me, one to someone else but nice try.

Since requested by you, i had another good look over the game chat from start to the end.

What i see from the very beginning to the present in the game chat is a great deal of comments of hallucinations by you.
Game chat from the start to the end is full of statements to define many dynamic changes which is so natural due to changes in game dynamics out of players moves, therefore lots of CHANGING/SWITCHING/FLOATING/VOLATILE spoken / unspoken truces / chesafires, mutual understandings.... These are so natural in multiplayer games... Some players tend to like playing their games in slient, some others consider diplomacy out of wording it through game chat to be the 4th unit they deploy on the battleground, which is again, very natural.

Where the hallucinations come onto the table is when you see moves those are not to serve you or not to look benefitial to you, then you grow a feeling as if they were against you and they were out of secret diplomacy. This is not nice imo.

Players are not in games to follow your instructions. You are very well welcome to offer ideas and expect them to be accepted but you also should equally welcome all possible outcomes, namely acceptance or denial... In the case of denials, why do you start accusing players who deny your ideas ?

Players do not have to follow what you ask from them to do. Otherwise why are you in a multiplayer game ? Why do not you play against saxibot or a game setting in which you command every color ?

Finally, i am so curious over why is it you creating this report in CA instead Chariot of fire ?
If i was putting his shoes, it would be me to set this file against you.

I would like to advise you, please take it as a friendly one Mr.,
how i see is you are a fine strategist and please become a 1v1, 2v2, 3v3, 4v4 polymorphic player where i believe you would shine.
Good luck

Peace
;)

Lt Quigley seems to think it's OK to keep posting obscene remarks on my wall. What a sad sack he is, truly.
