Silvertop game throwing [ka]

Post by shoop76 »

Accused:

silvertop

The accused are suspected of:

Game throwing

Game number(s):

Game 20061782

Comments:

I was winning after my last turn. Tied in troops but had more territories. Silvertop took 1 troop from me causing to lose the game. According to the rules, in the final round you cannot attack, handing the victory to someone else if you do not have a chance to win.

That is a stupid rule!

Anyways, I read the rules, and I didn't see this rule. Lots of rainbow rules and such, ROY G BIV.

Clear cut example of stealing a game from the rightful winner.

To clarify, if there was a considerable difference and you really had no chance in winning and the situation is like players A > B > C and C attacks A on the last turn of the game, reducing his troops below B, so that B wins, C had no chance of winning as he was already last, it's a classic case of game throwing.

This has been noted.

Game throwing + Tournaments is a weird combination that does put some situations in a grey area but you must understand that we must side to what is set as a rule rather than go with what some think as a "logical move" which opens up to more interpretations. Some of you are on a crusade that any rule that would hinder you from winning or getting an advantage in a tournament sounds stupid and ridiculous so I'm saying if you want a no game-throwing rule or a no-holds barred gameplay in your tournaments, please make it official. If you even want secret diplomacy to be included in the spirit of what would also help you win the tournament or help you get an advantage, go ahead, request for it and make it official. Contact the tournament organizers and we'll start from there. Until then we should observe what is in the rules.
