I like the idea of using the new maps. It evens the playing field slightly (or makes the advantage greater - depending on your point of view) for newer players. Existing players have probably played most/all of the maps and already have excellent strategies on playing/winning those maps. For a new map - everyone has the same handicap (learn the map WHILE killing everyone else AND staying alive).

Just a reminder - PM's for Game 2 will go out early Wednesday (GMT).

Selection of maps will still be random, with a guarantee that your 4 games in any one round will be on 4 different maps. However, the order of the games will not be random. From this point forward, I'll order your games within a round based on number of territories, and you'll play the big maps further. I didn't do this for Game 1.

I realize its not always true, but generally speaking, the bigger the map, the longer the game, so I hope this will allow rounds to finish quicker.

maybe I'm just confused because I came in late as a reserve, but the scoreboard says I have 7 points, but I won the only 2 games I played. I probably shouldn't be complaining cause I am advancing. Just wondering how I would end up with 7 points.
