Hopalong. Go hop along!

And Yukfoo, yes, I saw his post. But, the initial number of 17,000 that everyone got excited about, included everyone on the scoreboard, even people who signed up and left. When I look at the full scoreboard right now, I see 12,000. Sure, it still contains people who signed up and left.

Anyway, the only reason I responded to you in the first place is because you cited "bad dice" as the reason for people leaving. That's a silly assumption. Many of them leave because starting a game isn't instantaneous. And... just recently, I saw someone being a bit of a butthead in a training game. Those games are 0 points and meant to ease someone in, not raise the more established player's e-peen.

Hey shannon Apple :) Welcome back

If you ever see someone being a douche in a guide game can you please give me the game number so we can look into potentially blocking them from joining guide games in future.

Thanks

Thanks TeeGee! :D

I will do. I didn't report him because he was being a butthead rather than breaking any rules. He was teasing the player a little instead of giving him some guidance on how to win. Definitely cared more about winning the game himself, which shouldn't matter in a guide game.

Does everyone have access to guide games now? The player doing that was fairly new himself.

I think that way it works is that a 24 hour Guide Games goes only to Guides, usually the Guides online.

3 minute SPEED Guide Games goes out to everyone reading Global Chat to fill quickly and often those who play are NOT In the Guide Program (are not official Guides). I think that is how those work, based on what I have observed in that past several months.

I hope that helps.

new recruit. signed up like a week ago. testing out game modes on classic. just won my first game!

i've always liked risk but never actively played. 24 hour turns will probably keep me around post-covid for a little while at least.

It is definately the dice scaring people away. Perhaps to a lesser extent people are scared away because they can't play speed games. And then to a lesser extent, llama scares them away. But 95% of it is shitty dice that scares new and old users away.

When I am gone, it is because of the shitty dice.

thanks! trying to figure out the ideal number of active games.

4 seems too few and X seems like too many.

I find 40 is the magic number. Whenever my game load gets above 40 I can't sustain the attention needed and I play like shit. Which is, I suppose, the main reason I play like shit most of the time.

Just add some games gradually and see what you can handle. I agree with Duk. Once I go over a certain number of games, I start to lose concentration and can make bad plays. I think 40 is a cut off point for a lot of people.

Consider trying out polymorphic with 2 slots on classic now that you have premium. It allows you to play doubles, but you control both colours of your team. It's a little nicer than playing 1v1, in my opinion.

agreed - find your sweet spot gradually. 12 to 14 is mine (mostly team games). 23+ leads to me overdosing on CC since i like to tell my teammates what to do in our games ;)

I play with A/A+ games, B games and C games. A/A+ games I try as hard as I can in (usually reserved for clan games), B games I give decent effort in, and C games are volume games towards medals that I put little effort into and hope to win enough of with a shotgun approach. That helps me play more games and achieve more (but limits my score).

I believe economists refer to it as a "correction".

through out this pandemic we seen numbers rise on poker stars by over 1.2million daily... last week they have dropped quite a bit. i see cc club is slipping again lost several thousand members and falling further... i suspect will see thousands more drop in a short time back to where we were post pandemic sad we could not retain any of the new blood

be safe and well esp to our usa members the looting is some crazy shit to see unfold live
