Missing turns in nuclear games
I am playing a polymorphic Nuclear game. Normally my opponent is quite speedy, but when he had five cards, he missed a turn. I played my turn almost immediately after the 24 hour period ran out and within a half an hour, he played again. We played back and forth for several turns, then abruptly stopped once another on his team had five cards. At this point, it could be coincidence, I'm not accusing anyone. But I was just curious if anyone else has suspected someone of doing this - or if the consensus is that this is actually an acceptable strategy. Love to hear thoughts.

I didn't really want to get anyone in trouble. Hard to prove anyway. But here's the game link...

A lot of people only play the game once or twice a day. If you're running late in real life, it's very reasonable to assume you'd miss a turn and play a half hour after.

Getting close to 3k games, only 15 are poly nuke and he has a 93% turn taken, likely a case of someone who regularly misses turns. Hopefully just a coincidence.

Yes, quite likely the case. I'm fairly new to the game and when he missed a turn, I was curious because he'd be very diligently taking turns. Then it occurred to me that it could be used in a nuke/poly game to avoid nuking yourself. So, I wondered if this was a common complaint. Certainly didn't want to call him out on it.

Re: Missing turns in nuclear games
93 % turn rate is really bad. 3000 games times say an average of 10 turns per game, one has to miss 2100 turns to get to 93%. 20 turns per game, one has to miss 4200 turns. That is not a reliable player.

Re: Missing turns in nuclear games
Who are you people who post about this shit?? I'm about over the weak complaining about stuff that happens all the time. Just play the game and take the win or loss.
A) This has happened vs me more than once. In fact, I'm in a game where it happened right now. I simply called the guy out and foed him because that's what the feature is for. Not whine on a forum.
B) I play fast as hell but sometimes, I forget a turn and fall asleep thinking I'll take it or I get busy when I think I won't. Jesus Christ.
C) Look at how many of those "missed turns" are intentional misses on a speed trench game in which it just makes more sense to DB than it does to play it out.
D) Where does it say that this is a complainable offense, even if that's what I wanted to do? Unethical, sure. Complaint worthy? Come on.
E) In this case, guess what? I still had to take the nukes bro, not like I could avoid it. Where was the benefit? I didn't have the bonus so it's not like I was hosing myself there and you weren't anywhere near it so, I could have just taken it back. But you know, I'm pretty sure it's still a neutral. Thats how important it was. I've nuked myself many times in that game. It was my birthday, the night before my wife set up a nice zoom party, we got hammered, I skipped some games that I thought I would get in the next morning but again, my wonderful wife planned a big breakfast and a hike and I was hungover and I missed a single turn on a game I was waiting to play bc my dice have been shit lately and I was hoping to turn them. Satisfied with my explanation or should I just leave the site due to my horrific transgression?
