Hello CC! Our Olympics event is back after a long waiting period

As before the event will have its Tribes scoreboard with generous prizes. You don't have to be part of tribe to participate, but there will be special tribe related events. Everything will be automated, there is no need to sign up.
For those who have participated in the prior editions, you will notice tournaments names have changed to reflect the next two Olympics to be held by the Asian continent, Japan for summer and China for the next winter, after that it will move to Europe where names may change again. In addition most of the tournament have now new map for the same reason listed, only few settings were changed to accommodate the new chosen map.

Current active Tribes are 4 Primitives & 9 Advanced, if you want to create a new Tribe, check this thread that will tell you how to proceed.

How to Play

• There are 31 auto-tournaments running on a schedule accessible from the scoreboard page.
• You can join each tournament once.
• Kind of medals reward is depending on the size and nature of the event.
• There are a few major tournaments that you join to win Platinum Medals!
• All tournaments are giving out a Participation Ribbons to each player.

Scoring System:

Platinum Medal: 10 points
Gold Medal: 5 points
Silver Medal: 3 points
Bronze Medal: 1 point
Participation Ribbon: 0.2 point

As well as holding the crown of CC Olympic Champion Tribe (currently and since several years, The Risen is the defending Champion), the winning Tribe will receive

15,000 shared among the Tribe
for each tribe member

Blue Star - 3rd Place to 5th Place
Yellow Star - 6th Place - 10th Place
Challenge Achievement Medal - 30 points

You have a week from the start date which was Friday, I would say Friday noon to be the latest to change or join a Tribe.

There are already other major Tribal Events in parallel... and since this one was soo late the assumption was that its canceled as Tokyo Olympics.
The maps in current's CC Olympics don't even resemble to the Olympics spirit(previous 4 Olympic events did resemble). Good part of Olympic's sports are from GrecoRoman style. Current event has 0 from those.

The organizer of the other Tribes competition new about the Olympics and this was not my decision.
As far new map it was a need to refresh, not only because it should “match” but more to give different experience, many players are not liking the boring “same” as we see around such as same competition with same team at the top, with same map with same settings...
Many people so far enjoy the way it is and simply by comparing the amount of iteration for each tournaments that started, it weigh my position.

Anyway, i’m sorry you feel that way, but I can guarantee this year to be a success, don’t be scare for change, embrace it and try...It’s about having fun all together, that is what Olympics spirit is all about.

agreed, that is why i have made the decision to change tournament name, maps, for the upcoming Olympics that should take place in Europe. The actual Olympics will repeat for few years since the next winter Olympics to be in China.

They are not getting filled. It is the same every year. After 1 hour we have 3 queued up.

And last night I waited for more than an hour and we never got passed 2 players.
