It's been 10 years since I first joined this site. It was the peak time. My first impression was good about the game but lame about the waiting for a whole day to get a turn when you are unknowingly stuck in the 4-game limit.

My suggestion was to give a couple of free speeders per day for up to one week to hopefully get newcomers hooked up. The admin, lack attack at the time, would not listen and the site kept falling with a high turnover rate because CC's retention, as mentioned in a post above, is so poor.

As a matter of fact, CC has now a rare, maybe a once in a lifetime, opportunity. Would the Admin seize it and find a retention solution? We will figure out!

Welcome back Andrea!

Actually someone else suggested that too not so long ago, i think it was Zeus11.

I support that suggestion.

Premium members are not premium because of speed games, most of them couldn't care less.

Newcomers, however, want to play when they sign up, not wait 24 hours Just give them a few free speed games a week and maybe they'll stick around and eventualy buy premium..

It is my understanding that new accounts have enough credits in them to buy a speed game pack. From what I can tell it is unclear to the NRs that they can do that, most don't seem to realize it until they find GC and someone tells them. So, I think the option is there, it's just not advertised or communicated well.

Yes.They get 100 credits, enough to buy a 4 speed games pack. Do you think they'll bother to try and find out how to use those credits? They sign up they want to play. You don't give them that they leave and never come back. Instead of credits give them those 4 speed games with a message that says if they want more they have to buy premium. They're not going through the trouble... Go to Store.. Redeem Credits... "Boring, I'm out"

Hello Max! thanks for the welcome! ♥ and hi there Mitty! ♥

Yes, I remember when I signed up I felt blind. CC lacks info and advertisement. It won't cost anything to do so. This chance may not come again, not even in case of a WW III. I would bet on that because I'm not sure we'd have an internet access.

That would be great news, even if it were for a limited selection of maps. honestly i think that is more the selling point for premium and at the same time it limits new players from randomly getting a map they are not used to and getting turned away

Its in the thread last few pages but:

Italy at 40-50 at start of lockdown > 543 now
Spain at 135 at start of lockdown > 267 now
France at 125 at start of lockdown > 204 now
UK was first checked in at 580 March 17th > 828 now
Ireland 32 > 52

Didn't check China's #'s or USA / Canada before the lockdown's happened, so dont have accurate numbers from that. You could take a look at how many new recruits tho...

Canada 828 total > Theres at least 285 NR's, and doesn't include at least 100-200 ranked players who look like recently ranked and still under 10 games kinda thing. So best guess they've doubled since the last month.

US is to big to track without going through it. Currently sitting at 4614..no idea NR's

As part of 'Getting the band back together'...Have had players from various eras reassembled for a private game...but (besides not getting the option for private game,,,altho it does sorta with password option)...I get an Error Message with both a player (Snowfairysjoy) who hasn't played for 12 years and a new player (Soodrich) who only joined three days ago, where as there is NO mention on message of player (Tea) as not having played in past 30 days tho he hasn't played in over two years...I know I can create a Ticket but I'm trying my best here and think it MAY be just my operator error???

Basically if you live on earth you are 4 times more likely to die of Corona Virus that you are to have (re)joined CC over the last 3 months.

Looks like we've had a spike of 5000-6000 people, and the current death toll as of today for Covid-19 is around 22,000.
