she's kind of asking you to make dinner amirite? Looks like she prefers when dad is cooking.

Re: present from my daughter
If you were paying attention you'd probably prefer when her dad was cooking too.

Gorgeous. She make that, or is there a place to design monogrammed cutting boards?

She came up with the idea, but a firm in Colorado made it.

You should do your patriotic duty and start cooking some bacon:

Do you find it weird that when people complain about immigrants, they don't mean you? Nobody cares about a few more Brits (well maybe some people do).

The train of thought makes a stop at the following stations:
cutting board
kitchen
mmm... bacon
too much bacon?!?
patriotic duty to eat bacon
but is he a patriot since he wasn't born here?
Mel Gibson is a patriot
question about immigrants

Re: present from my daughter
It was not a nice wood one but I used a cutting board to chop bacon to cook in my new cast iron fryer a week or two ago.

Re: present from my daughter
I did not sand it. I am seeing how it works as is, so I can compare it when I quit being lazy and sand it. It is sort of seasoned but not really well.
So far scrambled eggs like to suck up the butter and stick to it. Otherwise it's been pretty good.
Edit: I just made some scrambled eggs again. I think it's time to sand off that rough surface. Might need to get some shortening while I'm at it.

I enjoy it a little.
Got out ol' smoothly to make the second round of scrambled eggs for my daughter. They stuck too. So maybe I need to work on my scrambled egg technique.
Off to the fort for supplies.

To us Brits, pork belly is NOT bacon.
