Well how can someone confirm that VT role exists in a game where there should be only VT (and possibly some PR) vs scum if no one also claims VT? I said I believe Tobi role on behalf of my role and yeah, that was an OMGUS from Pika.

What? How was that OMGUS? You did the exact thing that everyone said was bad to do. The exact thing that Pika was already voting Tobi for. You have to be able to see that.

I'm hung over...

Okay...so here's my issue: Do we think dakky is scum, or do we think he's playing poorly? I had issues with him putting unwarranted faith in the flavour, and now this stuff. However, I really, really think that we should force razor in here before we rush to anything. And perhaps Mets too. I feel like I haven't any stances on them. Razor has refused to comment on anyone, so we can't use anything from D1 against him in the long run. I think that's a problem. Mets has refuted what people say, but I feel like he hasn't put his own thoughts on the various issues on record. That's a similar problem.

Maybe it's something for the mod to handle?

Ok, re read everything and there is no point me quoting anything... for those saying i have been flipflopping... how elese should I react on D1?
We have zero info and everyone is suspect, so for me to change the way i feel about someone is surely to be expected?

Only if you vote for somebody and then unvote in your very next post like before. Only twelve hours had passed and nothing significant had changed in that time, which was what made it flipflopping.

Flipflopping is not changing one's mind because one is now better informed. Flipflopping, like Pika said, is voting someone and then unvoting without any incidents causing one to change one's vote.

This is how dakky plays. Every. Single. Game. Were you even paying attention in Into The Deep? Or literally any other game he has played? I can't believe I'm hearing "OMG I can't believe dakky claimed D1" for the 937th time, it's rather frustrating.

You are twisting the facts here...
I had forgotten that I had voted Aage earlier so my vote for Tobi didnt count.
And then there was a vote count and I saw that I hadnt unvoted Aage.
So I unvoted (Aage) but decided that there wasnt really enough of a reason to put a vote on Tobi.
End result is I do not currently have a vote on anyone.

How is no longer voting for somebody on account of a technicality and then deciding to keep it that way any different from unvoting somebody?

Here's what I think:

Pika is my best town read so far.
Aage seems to play his usual self, but he doesn't say much. I can't ever really read him.
Mets as above...and he's being a dick about it, too ;) I can't really read him. Nor do I know where he stands with regard to anyone.
Blacky seems forthcoming enough for me not to think he's necessarily scum
Dakky I've never been able to read. It's all a big blur to me.
Tobi seems to be playing as he usually does, but he needs to comment on stuff after his blunder.
Razor has refused to do anything D1. I'm currently voting him, but no one is going with it.
Strike has been away a lot.
Dgz has been awat a lot.
Chap seems like town to me, but I'm not sure why I have that feeling. He might have agreed with me on something *shrug*

Any thoughts?

Parroting Ragian here a bit, but with some differences:

Pika is my best scum read so far. It's always tough to separate Pika's personal style of interaction with reality and his Mafia-persona. So, I could be reading him all wrong in this game. I think in real life, Pika is an Analytical type (perhaps an Analytical-Analytical). Time is important to him, detail is important, always wants information from others (data) but does not respond in kind.....and won't easily admit he's wrong. He follows a set of rules, never questioning whether the rules are right or applicable....black/white, get it right. He can't believe that others don't always agree with him. And, all that from playing parts of two games with him.... Not trying to offend, we desperately need analytical types in our world to avoid costly and tragic errors and to make sure that verification is done and done properly, just not in high level managerial roles. This is something I was trained to do as Exec. Dir. of three non-profit corporations in my past life. If you couldn't figure out people's behavioral type (and subtype) and how to deal with each, then you didn't land any big-dollar contracts too often, or get them renewed. In comparison, I am an "amiable driver" behavioral type: tell me what my resources are and get the hell out of my way so I can get the job done...I don't easily delegate....broad strokes, but a sufficient number of details.....project completion on time is important....but, if I run over someone in the process of getting my job done, I stop, pick them up, and make sure they are OK (aka, a nice SOB). In this game, Pika's quick and continued insistence on a policy lynch because of my D1 faux pas got my attention.

I've got the strongest town read on Dakky. He's the only one who even hinted that what I was saying about my role name was reality, even though he claimed in the process. Others were derisive and/or dismissive.

I'm leaning town on blacky and Strike Wolf and Chap and Rage at the moment.

No clue about Aage, Mets, Razor, DGZ and Mets.

too quick and too insistent....I'm entitled to my opinion, and willing to change my mind. Rage and I are often on the same wavelength, so I am keeping my eyes open.

Eh... That's a pretty bold proclamation.

I haven't played a lot with dakky, but I've played the last two with him. He seemed scummy last time and was town. He's doing similar things here. Idk why he would do the things he did. I really don't get it. Is it scummy? I guess I don't really think so. But there was no need for it.

I'm interested in the polar opposite view points of Pika from Ragian and Tobi. I guess I just think it's hard to get good reads either way. So for one of you to say #1 town and the other to say #1 scum just shows that.

I'm gonna get on board with Rage for making Razor give an opinion on D1.

unvote vote Razor

It is indeed a bold statement. I just can't see scum being so adamant about their vote when almost everyone else said that what Pika is accusing Tobi of is unlikely to be a scumtell.

How on earth Tobi lands on Pika being scum for his accusations, I'll never understand. Perhaps it should be ascribed to the thinking that every player is the centre of their own world? I don't know...

That's a pretty bold statement. If you don't care who will you vote for, you're very close to being a scum.

Something bothered me last night about these statements by Ragian. He and I have played a lot of games back in the TNC days. In many cases, as in this game and the In The Deep game, he has been supportive of me being town. He knows the various ways I play the game, and gives me some cover when I get too close to the edge. Rarely does he jump on anybody like he did me above. So, what do we have? First, Ragian declares with no reasons given that Pika is his best town read. This comes after more than a few question Pika on his policy lynch wagon. Then, when I list Pika as my best scum candidate, responding to Ragian's request that I give my thoughts, he acts astounded. And, he uses atypical English for him in expressing himself...almost hyperbole.

It seems to me that he is supporting Pika in a more than a casual way. Has he exposed himself as a scum mate of Pika? Of course, Pika could in actuality be town and this is all a tempest in a teapot. However, it bears watching as we move forward. Remember the overstrong support for Pika by Ragian. It remains to be seen if it comes to anything. My vote stays on Pika. FOS at Ragian.

Great. You quote my reason for my town read opn Pika and then you say that I have no reason. Then you go on to say that I have been supportive of your towniness in other games (which is irrelevant), but you completely ignore that I think you're town here too. Otherwise, I would have voted for you alongside my strongest town read Pika.

Sheesh, dude. I didn't even jump on you. What's with the nerves?
