Re: INTO THE DEEP (Day 4)
Pika you're including the line that is not result-related nor the actual bonus ability description, aren't you?
I didn't.
I was responding literally because you were clearly trying to verify stuff. In the first post you counted bullet-points, not lines.

I'm not sure yet, I'm definitely suspicious of Tobikera. I want to hear what certain people have to say regarding my post though.
Ragian's poisoning being different than jfm's makes sense.

Guys I’m sorry I’m being so quiet at the moment... it’s Easter holidays and I am away with the kids.
There’s a lot of finger pointing and I am still not convinced by anyone to change my vote.
Although I do find skoff’s scaremongering re lylo quite scummy... getting everyone to panic and vote without thinking properly!

Pikanchion wrote:I also know that blacky365 was not lying about being poisoned, and that somebody healed blacky365 on night 2.
Explain that please. Since you went for food on N1, I don't see any way you could know that unless you actually performed the poisoning. You also haven't explained how you knew I tried to target tobi again on N3 when you claim to having been redirected, and I hadn't mentioned it prior.
Skoffin wrote:* Ragoo is the top for this list. He lacks an actual night action whereas most everyone else has one or even two (or more?). He seemly appears to be 1/3 poisoners in the game based on what we have seen, and then we have two healers. Seems rather absurd to have so many of either. Two town poisoners seems weird in general, but two town healing roles seems extra ludicrous considering the claims so far. Even if a few of the roles claimed are liars, this game seems like it would be impossible for scum to actually win with the amount of heals/protections, commuters, redirectors etc as how would a kill actually hit a target. Which leads me to wonder if a scum passive poisoner was one of the ways the game attempted to 'balance' itself. Scum can't really hit their targets but multiple townies could find themselves poisoned just by visiting ragoo. And that would semi-explain why we have two healers to prevent a possible "lol everyone died n1 by visiting ragoo' scenario. I'm leaning passive and active poison ability scum on this one.
So 2 town healing roles seems extra ludicrous, but it's ragian's claim that's scummy and not the healers? Make up your mind. I can follow the rest of your reasonning, but scum can as easily be redirected onto ragian as town, so I don't see why the fact there are 2 healers means rage has to be scum (because scum could be hit by friendly fire, therefore I could see them having some protection of their own. We also had a vig). And active poisoner on top? Scum pgo is pretty op as he can't be investigated, really don't see why raz would feel the need to add active poisoning if that's the case. I'll also point out you don't really have a night action yourself as you can't target anybody.
Skoffin wrote:ZaBeast wrote:Sirius, since you claim a passive ability, how is your bonus credit condition revealed?
If rage and skoff could confirm afterwards it would be great
What am I confirming?
My bonus ability was revealed after a succesful night action, I was hoping Sirius could explain how the hidden aspects of his role get unveiled. Might help to see if he's lying about it.
I was hoping you'd claim something with no tentacles. Doesn't hurt to try.Ragian wrote:Sigh... I'm town psychopath, box jellyfish, I'm a (passive) poisoner, I like small animal prey.
One reason I'm suspicious of pika is how big he seems to be on "policy lynches" (voted skoff for inactivity in D3 I believe; voted rage immediately because he went for food and didn't find it yet the bad stuff didn't happen; voted dakky because " worst case scenario we lose someone who's not helpful" (roughly paraphrased) ), yet on D2 he didn't vote jfm off after he admitted to having lied. My hypothesis is that he knew jfm was likely to be lynched whereas it was getting pretty close to the deadline when he had to hammer dakky.

Re: INTO THE DEEP (Day 4)
I'm gonna be honest, today (Day 4) has been a total mind f*ck. I'm not really sure what else we can find out without lynching. I've read and re-read looking for clues. I don't want to think too much anymore about the role/alignment mechanics of this game because there are so many possibilities. Until we get the first scum, we don't really know anything, IMO. Are we lylo now or tomorrow? Are there multiple scum factions?
I need a breather.
All I know is a subset that contains 4 of 5 townies. This is why I feel like focusing on the other subset gives the town better odds. It sounds to me like most people are focusing there anyway. SK and Pika. I am not sure one of them is scum or either of them. I just know the 4 of 5 townies subset. That being said, I don't feel like there is any other information that can come out. I've read and re-read. Basically everyone has claimed. Someone has to be lying.
I'm sticking with my vote on SK. Pika's second lengthy post with the summaries of everyone's claimed actions was nice and helpful to me, but at the same time, I do see Rage's point.

Re: INTO THE DEEP (Day 4)
I don't think we're at lylo. We're close enough that I think scum are getting more aggressive about trying to start a bandwagon but with voting patterns today, I find it difficult to believe that not one of them was a town sided player starting a wagon on a town sided player and had it snow ball into a lynch to try to end the game. It could just be that scum are being more cautious with how many blocked kill attempts there have been.
Not sure, I struggle to get behind a Sirius or Pika lynch because they prove the least about other players in game. The lynch should probably be between Tobi or ZaBeast (maybe Chap) to clarify the most of what's happened there. Tobi is the one who imo has been ringing all the scum bells but his actions have been proven which makes ZaBeast the better candidate from a pure mechanical perspective as his actions have not been entirely proven.
I may just be feeling a bit gun shy at this point after being wrong on Dakky and Mets (I'm not apologizing about JFM, he might as well have begged to he lynched by the end and I had tried to give him ample opportunity to dig himself out) but I don't really feel comfortable leading the lynch right now myself.

I'm thinking in terms of how someone would badly attempt to balance a game, hence where I got to that idea. But either way we have 3 poisoners or 2 poisoners (which would make ragoos lying). Scum pgo isn't particularly op compared to all the other abilities going around. Town pgo is far too op for town under these circumstances, however. I'll also point out that I have never once claimed that I only have the one ability.

It would be far too detrimental to play under that assumption.
Assuming we have 4 mafia then lylo should be tomorrow, UNLESS scum have the ability to kill two people tonight - in which case it is lylo. If there is even one third party then it is also lylo.
There is the possibility that the 4 are not on the same side or whatever, but it is still ultimately more prudent for town to play today as if the wrong lynch now could lose the game. So we need to decide which players are the most scummy and, in the event of a tie, which players would be more dangerous to us. Time for us all to pick our top 3 scum players I think.
I think one of the redirectors is lying, and they probably have the most potential to f*ck up our night game. 1/3 chance isn't too bad.

I learnt that blacky365 had been poisoned and that somebody healed it as it happened on N2, wiretapping aage was not my only action that night. Looking back at your posts I think me listing your target as Tobikera N3 was an erroneous statement that turned out to be accurate.
Regarding jfm10 I wanted to hear a full proper claim, we had a fair amount of time left on the deadline and there was really no rush. As a rule I do not make twilight posts (i.e. posting after a lynch is locked in vote-wise but before the mod announces such), so I had every incentive not to hammer jfm10 when there was the possibility of learning something.

Depends on the 3rd party, if it's a killing role then town still has a chance that the killer hits scum enough times in a row to regain a majority, if it's a survival centered role there's every incentive for that player to claim and proceed to help quicken scum's (and their own) victory once town and scum hit a 1:1 ratio or worse.

The healing might have happened on N2, the poisoning did not. You wiretapped the healer as well or just know someone visited blacky?
Do you think I'm dumb enough as scum to come out and attack tobi's role with a nearly identical role claim, when his own role had been confirmed by a then dead townie and I have been under very little scrutiny prior? Tobi and Chap,
If we are going to make chap's plan work, we need to merge our votes. I'm ok with either pika or SK, but we need to unify.
Ragian and SW still haven't come onboard and skoffin is not buying your plan at all chap.
I think her vote of Tobi is weird. Either you are town and your plan will work OR you are scum and she should vote for you.
She needs to either trust you and vote someone not on your 4/5 town list or vote for you. I don't see an in between.

The three who have voted for me are the ones that I have noted are most scummy to me (at least 2 out of 3, if not all three) at this point in time. So, maybe it's tit-for-tat or based on their copious text about me. I have been playing a strategy since D2, which was reaffirmed in my mind after N3. I'm Town and playing in support of town, but I'm also incorporating a wrinkle into my play, which so far has failed miserably. Obviously, it is not to get lynched, but I skate on a thin edge. I am not playing for points, and I'm not going after my prey, even though it seems that people who did have either been successful, or not suffered any consequences if they were unsuccessful.
I've been away for almost two days because we are moving my laboratory into our condo down here in paradise. Moving isn't fun at any age, but at now 72, it sucks. I've kept up as best I can, but have a question that I don't remember seeing posed.
That is, "is there any chance that Aage went after his favorite food and through random chance died (as prescribed by the mod in the opening text) as a result? In other words, could he have met his demise because of that instead of a mafia night kill?" Perhaps, someone else has brought this up and I missed it in my reading.
@TX: I don't have a real scummy feeling about Sirius, thus my vote on Pika. I had the same feelings about dakky and jfm, even though the latter drove me nuts with his play (as I have for some of you). So, like them, I am hesitant to vote for Sirius at this juncture.

Re: INTO THE DEEP (Day 4)
It seems to me that an attempt to split the town has failed... I just don’t know where to place my vote but think we need to do something today as we can’t afford more losses.
I would be happy to change my vote if there is a consensus among ppl otherwise I fear we are going to loose this day to a no lynch
