Many mafia games are that simple. The mafia often have roles that make it clear that they're mafia, like "godfather." The trick is working out which players have that role.

Godfather is a mafia role... me being a store employee is flavour.
Flavour would rarely be indicative of scum or town but many roles are.

Uh huh.

The Hobbit: Saruman is scum
The Lion King: Scar is scum
Breaking Bad: Gus Fring is scum
The Wire: Stringer Bell is scum
The Matrix: Agents are scum
Harry Potter: Voldemort is scum

So yeah, I guess flavor never really matters.

Ok, but note that I used the word rarely.

But I have never played in that sort of game so I wasn’t aware

This game is going to die. Just saying.

I said what I said but flavor may not be important but if it's a normal game of mafia then flavor IS important and blacky is scum as an employee.

I'm not saying your wrong, but just a couple of things.

  1. blacky never said he was an employee in this game. I asked. He didn't clarify what he was talking about.
  2. It does not necessarily have to be employees vs customers for the flavor. It could be robbers vs good customer/employees. Could be other things.
  3. If the scum were all employees, presumably, they would know that. They already know who each other are. So, I don't think he'd slip out that he is an employee when it would give him away.

That being said, I'd still lynch him either way.

Employees does not 100% mean scum. As there could be "more" flavors. Like stated above robbers. Or ceo or the board members.

So regular employees can be town power roles as well. As they are not high enough in the rank.

Jesus christ dude, the game started only 5 days ago. Your posts have been "confirm", "im gonna be lynched 1st" and third post is already complaining about how the game is going to die. Do you want to get lynched first?

Also can we not try to crack the flavor right away? It's real boring.

I would like to complain to the manager please, it would appear our votes are not being recorded.

I hear aage is currently in charge of complaints though, so Vote: aage as this may or may not hasten the process. We'll see. Maybe.

Everything is going to die if you just go, "This is going to die." Calm down and play the game.

Why would employees need to be scum? For all I know, customers would be more likely to be scum just going by the title.

Anyway...

unvote vote mets

Flavour boy.

I don't put unnecessary stock into flavor -- see my commentary in Into The Deep. However, people who are describing a clearly plausible hypothesis as implausible are not convincing me.

Skoffin wrote:It's early in the morning and the store is full of customers. Some are pleasant, many are arseholes. The usual.
A commotion begins in a corner of the store; all can hear shouting, a scream and a crash of items off shelves
Everyone runs to see what happened, only to find a body badly damaged on the ground with several shelves knocked over
Security is called to check on it
"I'm sure I heard at least two people shouting" a customer claims, but everyone says they saw nothing
Security leaves locks down the store, deciding no one may leave until they find who is responsible

Security (employees) are trying to find the scum. So, no, I don't think that employees are inherently scum. Flavor is probably just for fun, like most games.

At least two people shouting... Probably just the killer and the murdered.

I think that's enough OP breakdown. Let's move on to lynching blacky already.

I have seen no conclusive evidence that store workers are universally scum. That said the guy in the fabric department is a complete dick.

I have no idea why that double posted.

Point being, I'm not voting base d on someone claiming they're an employee. If I was that would be Ragoo (he's probably the one from the fabric department!)

I'm a bit more suspicious of the people truing to start a bandwagon based on them being a store employee at this Point.

I understand it was Easter but 3 pages with 11 people alive in 8 days is pretty much dead. That said, I really can't go after anything except flavor so my vote will stand.

Flavor wise- it can be understandable that an employee killed a customer because too much arguing over service.

Ok, but that isn't flavor. That's just saying that it could be anyone.

Flavour-wise, it makes sense that a disgruntled customer killed an employee that gave her bad service.

Easter is over. Get your butts twerking...working.

It's not definite but suggesting that customers are more likely to be scum doesn't seem like something someone who received a customer role would say.
