but it was funny and we joked about it they played a lot of music and the final song they did for her was forever young, the rod stewart version. and I was like, you know what, they are right, nobody wants to here bob dylan croon it a funeral.

Much as I love Bob Dylan, one of the worst things you can ever hear is Dylan covering his own songs.

Sorry to hear about your friend's mum. Sounds like you're mostly being a good friend, and that's all that anyone can do.

Feel free to join any of my music threads though, I'm more troll'd against than trolling.

Yea I have seen him twice in concert. Bringing it all back home my favorite. Nobody wants to hear dylan play keyboard. I know the talk that it's cause he has an issue with his hands, which might be a little true, but you know it's just dylan being like, yo, if I'm gonna keep doing this, can I least dick around on keyboard?

I'm not up on real time with the forums goings on, but sometimes I try to play catch up and do some investigatory journalism, no matter how many friends I lose, or people I leave dead and bloodied along the way (zoolander quote). I know at one point a long time ago I butted heads with ya and wondered why in the hell you were having such strong opinions on a board where you don't play the game that much. But I was bummed to hear about not just the trolling but the chat harassment. I'm sorry, man.

I saw Dylan in '76 or '77, when he was still human.

He was wearing a Billy Jack hat. So cool.

Thanks for saying that, but you don't need to feel bad. I disagree and butt heads with people a lot. It usually takes a fairly extreme level of disagreement to make me hold a grudge- not mentioning names, but openly celebrating Nazis, posting kiddie porn as a way of opposing homosexuality. and demanding that Muslims are cannibals who eat gay folk, are kinda examples of where I draw a line.

I've never seen you cross that kind of line, and probably you and I will disagree on a bunch of stuff in the future.

In the mean time, all the best to you and yours,

Sym

I've had this in my music collection for about 10 years now. Never got around to listening to it. Just discovered it tonight while browsing through the detritus of my old hard drive. Absolutely fucking wonderful!
