Looks pretty nice. Not sure about the hammer and sickle imprint, though.

I think the unplayable flags should stay at full opacity.. but you should do something about the pixelated edge in the Norwegian flag.
It took me quite a while to see that it´s the lion from the Finnish coat of arms there.. looks a bit like clutter until you know what it is.
If I start playing smaller maps it will be this one.

Not bad at all (:
Some areas for improvement though, the two tatterred maps are placed and deformed so 'well' that they look like the edges look like territory lines. Too similar to the playing map, especially since they meet the map at the bumpy parts so it looks natural XD
The font for the territories really need to be changed.
The territory name for 'Helsinki and Uusimaa' and 'Leningrad and Meretskov' are too close to each of their respective troop circles, so they can be confused with each other. Narva may also be confused, but is slightly more obvious.
I don't really get the guys on skis... especially the one on the piece of land that doesn't seem to have a name :S care to explain?
Is there any reason for the arrow from Estonia to the ship to Uusimaa to change colour? I don't see a colour change on the other arrows...
Bonuses need to be redone. Close to all of them really :S Paticularly 14th Army, since there are so many 1-way-attack territories which make it VERY hard to hold.
Keep it up (: Great potential here

That would be laatokka (finnish) or ladoga (russian) - the largest lake in europe.. (#15 on earth)
When it´s -40 degrees you can walk and ski and drive cars on lakes.

This one should not be on page 3. Any more progress on this one? I love the bold colors ... get away from the pastels for a change...
i agree the map has potential, but i can't see the mapmaker around the foundry, i guess he abandoned it

tseepra....hope you do well in your exams.
just a little feedback if i may...the font is small and on some terts the background makes it slightly hard to read.
Also the background to the northern finland behind the dark blue...can you lower that dark area it is distrating.
and lastly the over the legend, the coolnees i guess you have around those texts, could do with just some more work.
Apart from that, great work...keep going and the foundary will support you.

Interesting historical setting..and good mapping.
However;
improve the graphics a bit:
1) The Norwegian and swedish flags are so "hard" in your eyes:
Less colour and perhaps also smaller size flag crosses.
2) The Finnish emblem and the soviet hammer/sickel better be smaller too: The padosh lake obscures the hammer, and the light blue Eastern CMD obscures the Finnish lion. Make both emblems smaller and you get a much better view of them.
3) Also it may be interesting (and fun to play) to do something about the importance of capturing Leningrad, Helsinki , Murmansk on this map.
Of that area I think those were the only worthwhile targets to capture.
Like: having two of these three cities yields a bonus of +4 (really important).
4) The icey lakes means infantry can go all directions, and should NOT be limited to ONE direction only.
Solution: make it a proper land with circle and borders. You know you CAN defend a piece of ice (setting charges ready to blow up the ice should the enemy advance).
Because you may want to give defense bonus to Finland you may choose one or two borders to be impenetrable from the russian side.(icon: a line of "dynamite charges" or barbed wire).
Cheers.
