Searching for Random Map should return Random Map

Searching for Random Map should return Random Map

Concise description:
  • When I go to Game Finder and pick Random Map then click search... I should only get games that are waiting with the Random Map option or active/completed games that were generated using the Random Map option

Specifics/Details:
  • If you search with Random Map as your selected map, you get everything back, whether waiting games or finished games.
  • When medal-hunting, looking to evaluate Random Map results, or otherwise looking for Random Map games, it is much harder to find them than it needs to be.
  • If I wanted to see all maps when searching, I would just not select any maps from the list.

How this will benefit the site and/or other comments:
  • Finding Random Map games will be easier.

Hmmm i can get it to work on the original game finder but not the current one.

It does not work for me on the new finder. I get a wide variety of games and settings when all I search is Random + waiting.

Actually, having just dug into it a little further, selecting random + waiting, offers me 4,015 different games to join which is the same number of total games currently waiting so I think it's just showing everything even when you select random.

I think I see what you are doing.
You are selecting random from the list of the maps.
I am clicking on the Yes box for random map just below list selection.

Never noticed that there was still a "random map" in the list of maps

We should get rid of the random map within the list.

Yes, in new Game Finder just check the random box. Don't try to select Random as a map.

Not sure if that has any value at all, probably should just be removed like you said.
