I'm afraid of becoming a dyslexic agnostic insomniac. Can't imagine laying awake at night wondering if there really is a Dog.
Oh....and narcissistic narcoleptic necropheliacs.....they're really terrifying.

Most people are racists who prefer white statues:

For many people, the colors are jarring because their tones seem too gaudy or opaque. In 2008, Fabio Barry, an art historian who is now at Stanford, complained that a boldly colored re-creation of a statue of the Emperor Augustus at the Vatican Museum looked “like a cross-dresser trying to hail a taxi.”

jonesthecurl wrote:It's "all right" to have any phobia. Some people are afraid of spiders, doesn't mean it's the spiders' fault. Being scared of clowns doesn't man clowns are bad. Me, I'm a little nervous of moths for some reason... something to do with the way they move. I'm totally aware this is irrational.
I am so phobic of snakes. I've always assumed that everybody was but not. I am far more scared of snakes than the average person. For me people not being completely phobic about snakes is irrational. Fucking scary shit!
I have to say it's the first time I hear about the moth shit.
Other animal phobia... the shark, I think I'm way below average on that.... spider and other insects way below average...I dont think there are any other classics.

One of my neighbors was afraid of rubber bands. If she received any even on a newspaper she would call a neighbor to remove it.

thanks god not all neighbours in your neighborhood are afraid of rubber bands, that would be a serious bummer.

Maybe the others hid their fear. Likely.

I knew a guy who didn't like the Plastic Ono Band. But that's probably a different kind of phobia.

The only two things I was truely afraid of for a while was venomous snakes and getting a needle or something in my eye. In October I detached my retina. They start by putting a needle in your eye to freeze it then operate while you are under local anesthetic. Shockingly it was not really that bad.
Making me rethink the snake thing. Except they have stopped carrying anti venom at most hospitals, so there's the whole, you're more likely to die than a few decades ago, thing.
So I'll probably carry on normally there.

We had a June bug infestation one year. I don't know why but they were huge and everywhere. It was kind of cool because they are basically harmless. When you walked it was like leaves in autum. Crunch crunch.
So I catch one of the big buggers out at the drag strip and holding it by the sides it can't grab me with its pinchers so I find it hilarious watching it unable to turn on me. All my buddies panic figuring it's going to get them as I'm offering it to them. I don't chase them but they run away anyways.
Only one buddy is not bothered by it.
A few weeks or maybe even months later he fesses up. "I was terrified by that stupid big bug but I knew if I pretended it didn't bother me you'd go away and chase someone else."

First of all, there is a lot of people who think of the Greek Roman era as colorless. Everything was well painted.
In fact, this should be obvious to even a casual observer. Statues in the classical world often broke and were repaired with wax (hence the expression "sincere" meaning "without wax").
So you tell me how that "nose job" of wax is going to look just like marble?
Answer: because both the marble and the wax were equally painted over.

If you would have actually read the link he posted with the line you quoted, that's what it said.

Actually.. I’m not afraid of boas or pythons and all the big ones that are more about raw strength. It’s the tiny ones that freaking scare me. The ones that are super fast and that you might miss out in nature. Yes, it has to be in nature.
I have a phobia of walking in tall grass where I can’t see what I’m stepping, mostly with bad shoes and shorts. It happened to me a few times as a kid to encounter snakes like that and each time i freaked out.
I know most of the time they are not venemous but they are still freaking frightening. if I saw in the wild a rattlesnake, a cobra, a mamba, an iron spear or any of these bad boys I would just freeze to death at sight.

It’s actually tzor’s best post ever. Didn’t read doom’s full thing. But now that you say it, as an Italian speaker I understand now... actally in french it’s hard to understand the etymology, but in spanish sincere and without was is just the same prononciation. How cool.

Did they put ground up phenobarbitol in the kids' apple sauce before this person's arrival?
I bet some of these kids will be terrified of drag queens years from the time that photo was taken, if they get clown raped by the drag queen.
What kind of drag queen were you raped by, Army of GOD?
