No. More like 2 and a half.

Now please listen closely: I have noticed an odd fact. You have possibly posted more than anyone on this whole thread besides me. However, you have had the least, if not zero, constructive things to say. Your posts also seem to follow a form, usually saying something about the map needing to get quenched, followed by a large amount of punctuation marks. So, in conclusion, if you don't have anything to say that will improve this map, please shut up and go away.
i may not be constructive that much but that hurt like jumping into a volcano. im probally never going to even talk to you again wade. even idiots have feelings too.

Alright, look, I'm sorry I was so harsh. Seriously, I want this map to be the best it can be. Anyone can add something to a map to make it better than before. And sure, a little free talk is fine by anyone, but a certain amount is to much. Just read the forum guidelines:

The Guidelines wrote:The “l337” poster knows to ask himself/herself 3 basic questions before pressing the all powerful “submit” button:

One: Is my post really necessary or is it just mental diarrhea?
Two: Am I trolling or feeding a troll?
Three: Really?

Think about that for a while, and I'm sure you can find something to improve this map.

Here's the new update:

Image

Image

Things addressed:
-Changed bonuses according to poll
-Redid word highlights on small and large maps
-Moved Western Europe name to show Bermuda-African Peninsula ocean route (small map)
-Shrunk signature on large map

Things not addressed:
-European Bonus
-True-Vertical Text: Too large, it only fits if it is to small to read
-South America color v. legend word color (see KEYOGI's post on pg. 19): I forgot about this again, it'll be in the next update

              Final Forge

---The Global Warming Map has reached the ‘Final Forge’ Stage. I've revived this thread from the pits of the Foundry furnace and have examined the contents. Nearly every major concern has been addressed. If there are any other current concerns, please make your voice heard. There will be at least two days (but may extend pass that) for you to post any objections; if no one has posted any protest after two days the map will be deemed finished with the 'Foundry Brand' of approval and will be submitted for live play. If after two days there is still discussion going on it may continue until said discussion has reached the conclusion that the map has reached its final and polished version.

Post questions and concerns if any.

Alright, a few quick things.

Is it just me, or is there more text shadow on the 'Ports' description than on the other text in the legend?

Also, regarding some of the text, would it be possible to add an outline around the continental names and bonus values? I think there needs to be a little contrast between the bright colors and the ocean backdrop.

The 'Uninhabitable Zone' text also is kind of bunched and fuzzy and tough to read. Maybe making it regular rather than italics would do the trick, or look for perhaps a less condense font.

On the small map, maybe consider boldening the country names if possible.

And would it maybe be possible to enlarge the 'To such and such' text slightly? You may have to adjust and move the placement slightly of a few, but I think that they could benefit from being slightly bigger.

On the map, could you adjust the sea route from Ural to Siberia, as the route is close to the name, and kind of gets obscured. Maybe move that farther north. Just so it doesn't get confused with Central Asia.

Would it also be possible to make the split between India and Central Asia, I think, more noticeable? Could you make the sea route a little more apparent?

And maybe, for clarity purposes, consider boldening all the country borders on the map, slightly. So there is more clarity in that region.

So what's the reasoning behind giving Europe only a bonus of 4? Seems like with 4 boarders it should be worth the same as Antarctica which also has 4 boarders yet a bonus of 5.

EUROPE BONUS... is still too small, should be 5. Other than that it's ready to go.

Yeah, 5 or 4 is pretty much what we're deciding between. I put up 3 and 6 just to make sure.

could you maybe move the army circles for Iceland so we can see a portion of the island?

by location I think it's part of North America, but by colour it looks to be part of Europe. That being said, the red and orange are so close I could easily be wrong.

I think it's a good idea to show a portion of the island just so that it's absolutely clear.

wade, here's a suggestion. put up 4 versions of the map: large map, small map, large map w/ #s, and small map w/ number #s. Since you probably cant get the numbers, pm keyogi of Andy for them.

Well, I don't have the XML yet, so that's not gonna work. And I doubt Andy or keyogi will write my XML for me.
