Downtime effect in middle of turn.

Post by JMody »

Whats the deal with that? It should automatically make your turn start over if you haven't placed your armies or anything yet. I was about to finish a guy off. It was a great game all the way. Back and forth over several rounds. Now i get the drop on him with some good rolls. I get 20 armies for stuff held plus i can turn in for 30. He has like 12 armies left. I click begin turn and select my cards for the turn in and the site goes down. I can't get online for the entire hour I am trying to take my turn. Finally I am able to get on and it says that I took too long or what ever. Garbage. The guy knew he lost and even said it in the chat. This game here. I am gonna make this a suggestion tomorrow.

I think it's been suggested before. Do a forum search and check though, but I think lack has said that it's much easier for him to do it this way, even though it inconveniences a few players. Maybe I'll try a search and see if I can find it... stay tuned. :)

If we want to freeze the games we'd have to update some of the timestamps and put them ahead by a certain amount.

It's not like there is a ticker that I could simply pause.

Thanks Ice for the quick response. I don't necessarily mean freeze the game. Just that if you have not yet finished placing your initial deployment, the game should automatically stop your turn and make you start over. If you have finished the deployment and are in the attack phase than ok your fucked. But this guy essentially got 2 turns in a row due to the back-up or downtime. Whatever it is.

You already got the game either way, just chillax. It's not like they can control the down time.

yeah, that is exactly what happened. Luckily I was able to turn in the next turn that I was able to take for 35. I won the game thankfully. If not it would have cost me some points. :(
