              Final Forge

---The Malta Map has reached the ‘Final Forge’ Stage. I've revived this thread from the pits of the Foundry furnace and have examined the contents. Nearly every major concern has been addressed. If there are any other current concerns, please make your voice heard. There will be at least two days (but may extend pass that) for you to post any objections; if no one has posted any protest after two days the map will be deemed finished with the 'Foundry Brand' of approval and will be submitted for live play. If after two days there is still discussion going on it may continue until said discussion has reached the conclusion that the map has reached its final and polished version.

Post questions and concerns if any.

Congrats man - Now....

When you resized the image, were your country names still text layers? They don't look a little smashed / blurry in some areas. When I resized my Italy map, I had to play with the font size & I took the italic off so it was more legible.

Your sea routes are also very cool. And your compass reminds me of the nintendo nes controller.

why would they not be text layers? the resizing process doesn't alter the layers.

Congrats on the FF Ruben, I know you've been wanting this for a long time and you deserve it.

The gamepad/controller is the George Cross awarded to Malta for WWII.

You might want to look at the size of those army shadows on the small map though, they seem a little on the small side. :)

Ruben, would it be possible to soften the edge of the impassables? Right now, the hills look placed on the map, as do the mountains (the trees I think look pretty good). Would you be against blending them into the land a little, to make them apart of the map, rather than sitting on top?

Post by MarVal »

Before I forget................

!!!!!!!!!!!!! CONGRATZ !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

You deserve it.

Its a very various map with different gameplay and strategy formats.

It has a exotic look for an European exotic paradise.

You did a terrific job, m8!

Hopefully we can play it soon. And with or against you!!!!!! A deal?

A very nice map, well deserving the Final Forge

Seeing we can nitpick you for 2 days, and seeing no-one else does, may I nitpick?

I am thinking of switching some territories name and army shades placement, offcourse all needs to be seen case by case:

Large:
St. Andrews
Paola
Birzebbugia
Zejtun
Cottonera

Small:
the same

Also, perhaps space out some of the names/army shades:
Nadur
Sliema
Kirkop

Just see how it fits, you don't like it, you don't let it see

Again, a very nice map :D
