Alternatively, those that blatantly abuse it should be punished under "gross abuse of the game" considering it's always obvious when people have used underhand methods. If no tolerance was shown people would stop trying to get away with it all the time.

You can't blame people for using gray areas if it's the only way to get certain achievements. This system promotes the up and down score at the end of a given month... just because it s the only way to do it. Do you expect someone with a score of 3000 to be competitive to win the most improved? He couldn t even do it with an end score of 6000. And it s absolutely impossible to get a score of 6000 in a month. And with a +100% in your score you might not even finish number 1.
It s just pointless and useless, it s just there to taunt people. You need to be below major at the start of the month to have a chance of being number1.
And come on... how easy is it to go from 900 to 2000 in a month? There is just no comparison. The abuse is the most improved ranking.

How can you say it's the only way? That's stupid. Plenty of people have won the medal fairly and others have lost out on the medal unfairly. It is literally very possible to win the medal without going into any grey areas. The name says most improved not "whoever dropped their score and got it back up to normal again in the best way".

Improved what though? They aint improving as a player. All they've improved on is the score which they deliberately tanked at the end of the previous month.

Yeah, which goes hand in hand with the rest of that sentence. Pretty sad.

This isn't junior sport where everyone gets a turn at being most valuable player and as such gets the McD's voucher for the week.
It also isn't Evander Kane underperforming until the contract year.

yeah, right? another way to get the most improved medal(apparently) is to disappear for a few weeks and employ a coupla sitters who aren't completely shit players to rack up points for you. i mean, it's not violating any rules, is it?

kinda seems like a bit of an empty victory, tho...*shrugs*

why would i?
meh, this is an easy fix - simply scrap the monthly leader & most improved leader boards & rescind all the medals awarded for them. that way, the medal whores won't have anything to cry about, either. BOOM, done.

what is actually really stupid is your post. you can win the monthly leaderboard fairly, but you can't win the most improved leaderboard fairly.... as some people would have it over 100 times easier than others. Any half ass player can double his score from 800 to 1600 in a month.... no one on this site could go from 2000 to 4000 in a month unless he is a battle royale freestyle god and there is a battle royale event. The only shot you have is to do what people do... time their wins or losses at the end of a given month.

I'm not complaining about people timing their wins or losses though. You're being stupid. My issue is people who deliberately lose points by deadbeating or playing game types they know they'll overall lose points on. I've made that clear for a long time.
