You're gonna die cause now Mafia know who you are and what you do. Good work  I don't understand why you'd go for Skoffin as well cause she was really bad at hiding that she was the town crier.

As suspected there was a chef in the game. bye kwanton :(

Also with Thor asking so many questions while not actually providing any insight is pretty typical to when he was scum in the last game I played with him. He's a noob but even so, there is a limit before peeps get suss. Like Strike and Ragian already picking him out.

Goodbye sweet crier,
I wish you were a better liar.

No, no, no, I am not scum and I'm in no mood to be thrown on a bandwagon, quite possibly by the scumsters themselves.

Every game, no matter my role, I try to organize and analyze the data. Only once I have a likely suspect do I then proceed to voting.
So far, I'm doing better than average at voting scum and not voting town.

Just to remind everybody:
Day 1 Lynch: Dakky21 (Town)
Skoffin: BuJaber, dakky21 (2)
Kwanton: The Weird One, kwanton (2)
Dakky21: aage, strike wolf, Metsfanmax, benga, Pikanchion, skittles!, mandalorian2298, madmitch, ???? (9) L-0
No Lynch: dirtydishsoap, Samlen, Skoffin, thorthoth (4)

Day 2 Lynch: Bujaber (Scum)
Bujaber: mandalorian2298, aage, Pikanchion, strike wolf, dirtydishsoap, benga, madmitch, Thorthoth(6) LYNCH
benga: Bujaber (1)
Skittles!: Skoffin (1)
Not voting: Skittles!, samlen, HotShot53, kwanton, metsfanmax

So people want to know who I suspect...
Well, Mitch is once again using his inimitable strategy of playing like a fool regardless of alignment. Is he idiot town or idiot scum, who the hell knows.
He just shot the town crier in broad daylight and then said he's sorry...
gee, I guess we'll let him go because we don't lynch retards, instead we blame the victim for using the word 'retard'. Nice Mets, you're a class act.

Then Ragian just published a list of town and scum without giving much in the way of reasons. Of course he humbly left himself off the list. May be we should just add his name at the top and then flip the darn thing upside-down...?
Ragian wrote:Most likely town:
- Aage
- Mets
- Strike
- Mandy

Unsure (most townie to least townie)
- Pika
- Samlen
- Benga
- Mitch
- Skittles
- Thor

However, I'm not voting for anybody yet despite the shady pressure to do so. This game is quite complex and confusing. We need to keep thinking about these problems and asking questions. So instead of all you scummy types giving me grief for trying to solve these mysteries. I want to here your ideas and analyses of how to solve them.
So once again...
Thorthoth wrote:So many questions for us to ponder.
So we've lost two communicative town roles: crier and chef.
I suppose the chef arranged a two-person dinner each night, so at least two dinners, three if his dinner last night happened before he was killed.
We have yet to hear more from the oracle/spirits. Maybe they're the same as the crier, maybe not.
How did Mitch get a gun did somebody give it to him or is that just a power role.
I'm guessing DDS/Yakuza played his suicide now because scum found the ideal recruit? If that is so, what type of role would scum most like to recruit?

(sigh) I knew I'd forget that darn post restriction.
Next time, I'll try to post without this friction.

Huh? I never said don't lynch mitch. mitch has been known to actually play cleverly in the past. His claim could be part of a strategy to get town cred and shield himself or another mafia buddy. My comment to Skoffin was completely independent of that.

Of course I did. I already admitted it. I Unlike you Mets, I readily admit my mistakes. ;)
I didn't ask for post restrictions. I'm doing the best I can with these impositions.
Anyway, obviously I edited immediately after the original posting so it doesn't effect anybody's subsequent posts anyway.

If mitch is scum who shot Skoffin, why admit to it? Also, why would I put myself on a list when a) the default assumption is that whoever is posting is town in their own eyes and b) neither of my former selves wrote anything to judge? If this is your analysis, I'd say it's flawed at best.

Your defence is that you didn't vote for dakky but voted for BuJ. The same can be said of DDS, confirmed scum. Your BuJ vote reeks of scum trying to garner town cred. vote Thor

You have said yours and I have heard
No real substance behind your word

Jeez, how many miles to the gallon does your bandwagon get, Ragian?
Already strike and skittles have expressed interest in hopping on...

Besides the mitch killing, and this sudden gunning for me for (gasp!) stating the questions, I do not have a strong sense of who is being scummy.
If anybody has some evidence or theories that they would like to share, please do so, but provide good reasons so we can debate them.

I do not consider being an involved player who is thinking and speculating about the game we are playing to be a scum-tell.
In fact that brings up the question, Who out there is scumarining? Raise your paw.

There are now 11 players.
1. strike wolf
2. metsfanmax
3. Samlen
4. Thorthoth
5. Skittles!
6. The Weird One Replaced by HotShot53 Replaced by Ragian
7. Pikanchion
8. mandalorian2298
9. madmitch
10. aage
11. benga

I figured out the best way to not forget the couplet is to write it first:

I am not scum, not an inch.
So I beg the town, don't waste our lynch.

So first. Thor calm down. It's a game of suspicion. Town or scum, if you're gonna lose your cool every time a few people express suspicion of you, mafia might not be the game you should be playing.

2. This hardly counts as a bandwagon. One person has voted you and two others expressed suspicion.

3. Don't edit posts. It's in the rules for a reason and not for you to decide it's okay because A, B or C.

4. It's fair of Rage and Skittles to draw parallels with your last game as scum. It's metagaming and it's a common strat for pursuing scum.

5. The reason asking questions about The game is considered scummy is because it's an easy way for scum to appear active without throwing their vote around too much and making reads on people which can lead to others making observations on connections and missed knowledge within The game.

6. The vote thing means little. None of the known scum voted for Dakky (I would still argue that it was better for town to lynch the distraction than try to ignore it) and both you and Dish voted Buj late in the wagon.

I doubt that mitch would reveal themselves if they were scum. I'd say thor is scummy but last time I thought that he was innocent child so I'm going to be a bit hesitant voting him unless there's stronger evidence.

I'm not nervous and I'm not losing my cool, but I've seen how these bad lynches snowball over nothing and I'm trying to be the voice of reason and head it off at the pass.

Gee, Benga maybe 4 would be a good scum number, but I wouldn't know.

Glad to see I'm not the only one

So now that everybody has posted at least once today... Does nobody have anything to share about last night at all?

We know at least two individuals should have something, who shared dinner last night and why is the Oracle silent?

If information you would articulate,
we could all abjudicate.

Those are good questions and you don't appear any scummier than you otherwise would for asking them, Pika.
Are we sure that the chef was able to arrange a dinner last night? What is the order of operations during a game night?
Is it first submitted, first played or is there a standard order?
Of course, one possibility for the silent oracle was that it was all the town crier's doing.

Why fuss?
Let's discuss.

A chef role would normally choose the dinner participants during the day so that they could talk during the following night.
I wonder what's keeping the oracle from saying stuff. Coulda just been skoffin making stuff up.

Maybe they were roleblocked last night?
Perhaps they were given too much of a fright?

So what happens at one of these chef-dinners. Do the two diners get to talk to each other and ask questions? Does the chef also get to hear what is said. If not, what is in it for the chef?
If the diners are talking for themselves I suppose they can lie, right?
Maybe the diners (& chef?) are just given certain specific pieces of information in a PM from the mod?
I really don't get it. Can somebody explain how it has worked in other games... or in this one?
