Yet another critic of President Donald J. Trump has been revealed to be a potential rapist.

Leeann Tweeden, a Los Angeles-based news anchor, came forward with the allegations in an op-ed published by KABC radio on Thursday that detailed an encounter with Franken during a tour of the Middle East to entertain US troops in 2006.

Tweeden alleges that Franken, then a comedian and formerly of Saturday Night Live, forcibly kissed her while rehearsing for a skit and later groped her while she was asleep. She also shared a photo that appears to show Franken placing his hands over her breasts while posing for the camera.

The more I look at the photo the more I find it odd. Her name is wonderfully embroidered onto her flack jacket, but it's a piece of masking tape on the helmet. You would think the army could do better.

The patch on the jacket is easier to provide. Since the gear is on loan to them the masking tape is easier to get off the helmet after. I do like how someone put it right there on the front. Also Al feels like they are in a safe area, he is only wearing ear plugs in case she wakes up screaming.

First, as a point of information: she wasn't a soldier. It wasn't her job to give her life in defense of him. She was an entertainer on the same tour as him. Yes, she's dressed in combat gear, but that's normally made available to VIPs on tour in a combat zone. She was NOT a soldier.

Second, I don't think any disrespect was meant. I think this is just hamming around. It's still wrong, but it's a very small kind of wrong. It's like when your buddy falls asleep at a party and you paint a penis on his forehead. That's technically an assault -- you had no permission to paint that penis there -- but I think you'd agree it's not the kind of thing anyone would make a case out of.
