I think it's more typing ability and proof reading more than spelling. I'm not making any huge spelling/grammar errors am I?

There is only one solution. Someone make a 6 player game, 3 teams of 2. with a 11-20 aged team a 21-30 aged team and a over 30 aged team.

Maybe even make a whole aged tournament.

18, sergeant first class

I don't really think age plays much significance at all. It's all about your visual skills and understanding of strategy, which is probably almost fully developed by your mid-teens.
If I had a world of my own, everything would be nonsense. Nothing would be what it is, because everything would be what it isn't. And contrary wise, what is, it wouldn't be. And what it wouldn't be, it would. You see?

im gonna be 18 soon :D i think adults generally will be better than kids even if its only because they care more and put more time into it (speaking generally of course) so the general skill level of adults will be higher than kids, there will of course be exceptions.

it's not the age

Post by pailander »

that's quite silly question, the fact is that the good player depends only the knowledge that he has about the game,
and how to use that knowledge, that's a experience problem... there is nothing about the age!!!
bloody reports!!!

well i think adults are better when they join the site then kids, because they might have some experience and studied in other things that might help.
but when they are longer here i think kids will be better because they (we) learn faster

but yeah, made a mistake in trieing the 2 player games (made 20 of them) i had 1500 points and now back to 1200 :S

P.S
i am 16

I'm 15 almost 16, a sophomore in hs, and had a score of 1196 at one point.

Do I think that my age hinders my play? No. I think that older players have more experience, but a 15 year old and a 30 year old sitting down to a game that neither of them have played before will be an equal match, the outcome depending on their strategic skill and knowledge of probability and so forth and so on. Experience, however, tips the scale easily in the direction of older players. My guess is none of the highest ranked players is any younger than 20.

EDIT: Oh yes this is my first and probably last post, I just wanted to toss down my two cents on this issue.

I don't think risk ability is related to age.......

But I do know that the younger ones tend to ask dumber questions...

Just look in the quote box for an example of a stupid question from a younger player.

BTW, I'm 16; I doubt any of you would have guessed that from playing or talking to me.

I'll give you a proper one: I think the reason why nobody would guess you were 16 (I am 16 also btw) is because most of the younger players who stick with this site past their first game tend to be more intellectually mature. Of course, this doesn't go for all...

I was wondering, how many players in the top 250 are teens? I'm 17 myself.
